I have both the Mega SG and the Super NT and I'm very happy with them. I use Mega Everdrive Pro and SD2SNES flash carts with them and they really are the best way to get a real hardware experience through HDMI.
I've also got an order in for the Analogue Pocket with the Game Gear adaptor and I intend to order the Atari Lynx one as soon as it is available.

Is anyone using time at home to spend more time with their Master System and other retro gaming? I turned my home upside down today to dig out my Master System consoles. It started with a recent purchase of an Everdrive GG for my Game Gear and eventually I got to the point where I thought "I miss the Master System" so I made it happen. Been playing Master of Darkness, Micro Machines, Alien Syndrome, Fantastic Dizzy, Fantasy Zone and a few SG-1000 favourites.

Nice cover design. What kind of game is it?

SG-1000 games do work just fine on an SMS2. I can vouch for that from my own experience.

I wish Sega would release some more compilation discs. That Genesis collection they released for the PS3/360 was excellent. Yeah it was, I played comic zone for the first time with that and thought it was excellent, i wish sega would do more with their franchise's in general, granted the new sonic looks promising but they have so much material going to waste, My only complaint with the Ultimate Collection is that it doesn't include Revenge of Shinobi or Shadow Dancer. Criminal omissions IMO. I think a retro compilation would be the way to go for the SMS in the US as it wouldn't be as expensive as a mini console and might tempt the casual retro enthusiasts.

I think there would be a lot more mass appeal if they did a mini SMS 2 because that's the one that sold the most. Back in the early 90s, it retailed for £59.99 and, for many people, it was an affordable entry into console gaming and a very welcome upgrade from the Speccy.

One of the great things about the SMS is that there is no real need for 60Hz. The SMS library is very PAL-centric and a standard PAL SMS + Everdrive will run most SMS/SG-1000 games without issue.
I have an RGB modded SMS 2 with the 50/60 Hz mod but, most of the time, I feel more at home with an unmodded PAL system and there really isn't that much to justify getting a 60Hz system in comparison to other consoles.

I voted remain and it feels like the rest of the country voted for Homer Simpson.

Bought plenty of DVDs from Amazon (both from over here and the US). Damage is the exception rather than the rule. VLC Media Player can be used to play DVDs from all regions. It bypasses the region lock on your DVD drive: www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html

If memory serves, the Japanese version of Enduro Racer has extended gameplay and slightly more detailed graphics.
There are actually a few Mega Drive games that give different titles/languages depending on which region the console is from. Mostly older titles like Streets of Rage (Bare Knuckle) and Revenge of Shinobi (Super Shinobi) which weren't region locked.

You may want to consider getting a Master Everdrive instead of re-buying all your old games. They cost about £60 and they run 99.9% of SMS/SG-1000 games without issue.
