It's easy to know where the robot is, I figured it out even without using my German guide. The house was marked off by having a blue door. Well, finally got through go getting the spacecraft after Gothic. That maze run followed by the lava is REALLY annoying. I got so sick of enemy attacks. Seriously, though, you must have been playing this for hours straight, it took me about four hours of play on Saturday to finish Gothic. Nothing like procrastinating on work deadlines to really get the gameplay going. I actually chugged through it pretty quickly, though. I had a lot of cash saved up, so I just got and bought everything I needed and then went my merry way to the finale. You still have a ways to go, little one.

I know, last night I got the hovercraft and such and will be going to the Palma tower thing and then the island. Did you find all the secrets and such in the game or did you just run through it? The mazes have a number of hidden doors, I found one yesterday that had 5000 smackers hidden behind a wall.

Any notable armor or equipment I definitely picked up, although it took me until the very end of the game to get a Magic Lamp. You can get it for free at the final tower, and there was no way I was paying 1,500 when if you just bought a bunch of Flashes for all the dungeons you'll explore in the game it probably only works out to like 400. Admittedly, it was nice to be able to walk into a dungeon and not have to go to the inventory and strike up a light. The last tower is actually pretty awesome, it's filled with important items. I had a lot of fun exploring that. Make sure to get the other methods of transport in the game - the Landrover and the Ice Digger. You don't need the rover to advance the game, but it certainly saves a lot of time on land and reduces most of the random battles. Some of those are so tedious when you're walking the deserts of Motavia.

I got a little further! Man, I seriously don't know how you finished it so dang fast! This is probably going to be something that takes me a little longer. I can move on to the next one if you think you guys are ready for it. I think we all know how awesome this game is, not like you can't keep commenting on it as you get further and further.

I'll have a go if nobody else steps up... already have one picked out, but I missed my turn during my absence.

Alright, so there I am in the Medusa's tower. So I have the mirror shield and junk. I figure, like the gas shield, it's just automatically functioning so long as it's in your inventory. So then Noah gets turned to stone. Okay, I figure, equip it. So I have Odin do that, but it says it has no effect and everyone gets turned to stone. What the shiat? Couple that with a weird glitch. For some reason, when everyone was turned to stone, it said we were all dead and then a green dragon suddenly appear, got struck as though I hit it, died and then a chest appears. It asked if I want to open it, I did, got 45 bucks and the game restart. What in the hell was that and what's the deal with the shield?

Hmm, that sounds pretty messed up. I've never even heard of that before. Did you equip the Mirror Shield *before* you went into the tower? Maybe once you're in it you can't equip it? You mentioned trying to equip it after someone got stoned...was that during a battle or after that? It's definitely Odin's, though. Defeating Medusa is the best, because you get that awesome Laconian Axe for Odin. I believe that's the most powerful weapon in the entire game.

Yeah, I was thinking this morning that you probably have to equip before you enter the tower. I'll do that and that should help. It was quite a strange glitch, not sure why it happened.

Well, almost to the end! I brought this home and played it a bunch over break. Got past Medusa and wasted her in a few hits. Now I'm hitting up Dezoris cave and getting sick of fighting eight mammoths at once. Talk about a life drainer. Question. So I have the Ice Digger and I've been looking over the maps and such I have, but I don't really see it mentioned in this guide where I'm supposed to use the dang thing. Where do I use the digger and why?
