SMS Game Club Member List/Rules/Previous Games

Okay everyone, here it is. The following are some simple rules for the next Game, and every one thereafter. I'm keeping the original list and will also post below all games that have already been weeked.

1. Games will be posted after current member who is doing the pick has decided on their game. This can be at any time after they decide.

2. Each member will receive a private message before their turn. This way you will have time to think of your game in case someone picked it before you the previous week, and, it will lead to the next rule.

3. You need to reply to my PM a maximum of seven days after I send it. If I do not hear from you by midnight my time on that day, I will PM the next on the list. So keep in mind that even if you are weeks in the future, there's a chance you may get your turn sooner.

4. If the scheduled gamer does not reply before the seven days are up and the next in line is contacted, the person who missed their turn will be next in line for the following selection.

5. Obviously, before selecting your game, look to the list below to make sure it hasn't already been laid to waste.

6. If anyone has a problem and will be missing their session, just PM me to let me know and you can be placed next on the list following whenever you get back or what not.

7. PLEASE NOTE. If I do not hear from you over the duration of the Game Club Freak Out Fest, you will be sliced from the list the next time around so try to keep in touch in case you know something is coming up. Obviously something could happen, and you can easily be added to the list again, but it will be at the bottom and you can lose your previous position.

8. ANYONE THAT WANTS TO JOIN, please just PM me! I'll put you on the list right after the last person and we'll continue as usual!

9. Another important point I've just considered. If you respond to my PM about your game but DO NOT post within the time you are supposed to post, you will be forfeiting your time. No other games will be posted if you've responded and the previous game will continue, unless you've told me otherwise that you won't be around. Remember this, because if you say you're going to do it but don't get to it until a week later, you've lost time and I won't extend it.

That's it then, there's nothing else to really add, the first list below is the order of each gamer and the second list are all the games (in alphabetical order) that have already been selected. I will add dates to the names tomorrow after I get a calendar!

I think we should re-do the game club list soon.

Just looking through and there's about 8 people on there who I don't think post here any more and we have had quite alot of new members.

And I think instead of a list of previosly tackled games, or maybe aswell as, there should be a list of games that have not been tackled for people to choose from.

It was my understanding that once we get to the end of the list we start from the begining again? That is all I was meaning.

No... I guess Stan keeps adding the names of the guys that PMed him at the end of the list.

One suggestion I have for this forum is to change the thread title after a new thread has been posted. That way it makes it much easier to navigate through older titles without having to click on each one to find out which is which. Stating "SMS Game Club:..." on each choice seems redundant, since that's the forum they were in. I think it would be better if it would be changed to "Enduro Racer (thund3r's pick)". Since older posts already seem out of place as "GOTW", why not just revamp everything with uniform titles stating the name of the game and the user who posted it?

What do you guys think?

I agree it is abit messy and why is it that people aren't posting there new games when they should because it looks like we are only having 1 every 3 weeks now. So i think the rules need revamping.

It's not game of the week, we changed that because, obviously, we're going to slowly run out of games, so the longer we play them the better. Every week was getting tough for some people who have busy schedules, but giving it more time gives more people the chance to play each entry and give their two cents or what not. But sure, just list it by game title or what not, doesn't matter to me.

i was wondering stan if it is our go next,, for the sms game club do you think if we dont want to wait after 1 or 2 weeks we could do it ourselves?

Its been over a month since the last game was posted at this rate we will only get 12 done a year! And don't forget there are over 270 games left to do. It says it should be 2 weeks between each game not over a month! Also it will take 2 years 4 months just to go round the list once but at least if it was one every 2 weeks it would take a year and 2 months.

Shut it, everyone likes this system. Most of the users on here are older and have LIVES, so we only have a few moments here and there to play games, but we'll do the next one soon.

Oh snap! I'd like to see some quicker picks too, but yeah, it's tough very often to work around "life". I'd say just look at the order and realize when your pick is. Do it up in advance even, so then you can meet the deadline.

I'm pretty happy with the present rules. I get very little time to play games nowadays tbh.

Well once a month is good, but its been longer than a month since the last one. If someone doesn't take their turn then the next person on the list should.

Yep once amonth is good, plenty of time to give games a go, I also agree with Rupert when we've done them all or are down to games no one has we should start over.
