Just for the sake of complaining...one more change I'd like to see is how we treat these picks of the month. It often takes me a long time to get to playing the game when it's the current pick, and once I do play it I really want to talk about it, but once we've moved on...that's it. Kind of stifles any sort of progress or lengthy discussion, especially when the choice game is a longer one. What I think would work would be to sticky the current pick, so it stays atop, while letting people respond to the other games whenever. Because dammit, I just played Mortal Kombat for the first time, and I want to talk about it!
Thoughts?

Ive felt the same in the past, suddenly played a game properly for the first time and which was in the game club ages ago but felt I wasnt allowed to bump the thread

I think if we did that, and also added the game for discussion to each thread title, it would make this thread a lot more constructive (and it already is a huge help!). What say ye, mods?

I agree with all of those proposed changes. I've often played games that may have been done on the game club a couple of months - or even a couple of years ago, and thought of something interesting to say, but didn't think it would be worth creating an entirely new thread on the subject when a discussion thread already exists.

Hmm, this is an interesting and important point. How to handle it though? The only thing I can think of is have the 'current' game stickied, keeping the others loose so that if you have something to say, you can, but it will never go above the current game. After the next game is chose, just remove the sticky. It's the only way I can think of handling it. How does that sound to everyone?

That and getting the game title in the thread title too, so it will be easy to call back older picks without having to remember "oh yeah, Stan picked F-16 Fighting Falcon as his favorite game" etc.

So here's what I'm thinking. Sticky the current game as 'whoever's pick' and then put JUST the game title for the others. That way, you can scan through them for the game you're looking for, instead of searching around and such. What about that?

Sounds good I reckon Stan. Would perhaps allow for a bit more activity on the forum too.

sounds good to me, only a 20 minute job and it should create alot more game play based discussion as people will feel free and liberated to post willy and indeed nilly in this section.

I can make a list of which game should be in which thread title so the mods can change it. Let me know, fellas.

Ha, sure, if you want to do that bit for me so I don't have to look, that would be cool. I like when people get involved, or when I don't have to do something. Do that and then I can just quickly change everything. Actually, I'll have to open each thread anyway, so I just did the first page. I reckon it makes the most sense to wait for someone to unearth one of the others (where they're already all marked). By the way, is it possible to blink text in a subject box? That would be cool, another way to mark off the current game thread.

The last 21 threads need unlocking.

What about a Shinobi Club? You didn't tackle that one yet did you?

Hmm, I seem to remember we did. Let me check around, if I find it I'll unlock or bump it.
