Trasbot I dismissed this game back in the day as looking a bit too basic to play but gave it a go yesterday and was immediately impressed by the playability of it. I wonder what other games I've done this with.....

Very true but I think demand is always going to be much higher for original / licensed games (There not making them anymore) which will keep prices high and the quality of the repros (In terms of labelling, inserts and in some cass manuals) is starting to really improve which could de-value existing repros

Back to your question on whether or not to go down the Repro route my advice would be to stick to original Sega products wherever possible. I know this can be expensive but the official stuff keeps and can even increase in value over time so it's not like you will lose your investment. With the Repro stuff on the other hand your only going to lose money because there is the prospect of massive quantities being produced driving down the prices. That being said if there wasn't an original Sega game made then I'm a big fan of Repro games (Yie Ar Kung Fu for instance, love that game)

well remembered! I had to sell most of my collection a few years back (I had spent years collecting anything retro related such as GX4000, Atari Jaguar, 32x, mega cd etc, etc........) In order to fund a house move. Now things are back to normal I found myself needing to scratch that collectors itch once again and have decided just to concentrate on my beloved SMS games and variants this time round.

DSC_0033.pdf (195.94 KB) I've made several purchases from edwithmj and can vouch for his honesty having made a recent 'high value' purchase. Thanks again edwithmj. Very close to completing my collection now.

Thanks for all the interest guys, the response has been overwhelming. I have posted the few items that have been paid for but it is just getting too dificult to keep track of what I have sold and to to whom, take photo;s, check condition / completeness etc.. So I think the easiest way is just to list on ebay.
Thanks again and sorry if I have dissapointed anyone
Kind regards,
Kev

The time has come for me to sell my entire retro collection which consists of a complete pal mastersystem collection (inc Smurfs 2 and digger chan) all the North American exclusives (excl sonic 2) the aus HES 4 game pack with some other items such as a very rare telstar double pack, aus double pack, repros, sealed / blistered games etc.. I also have a few hudred Megadrive / Mega CD and 32 x games such as Streets of rage 3, probotector, mazin wars, sonic cd, final fight cd etc.. and some obscure Amstrad GX4000 games including, Pang, Copter 271, tin tin on the moon ect.. Message me if you would like a complete list (Xcel File) as I would prefer to give members of the Sega8Bit forum first dibs before I spill my load all over ebay. Not looking to get rich but trying to recoup my outlay
Kind regards, Kev

Hi, just wondered if anyone knows if the SG3000 cards run on the sms 1 or megadrive powerbase converter? From what I can tell the cards are the same size and region free?
Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Retrokevretro

Sorry if this is an obvious question but I was comparing 2 copies of Operation Wolf today and noticed that there were a few differences between the 2 copies. I first noticed that one of the instructions were a much darker colour than the other and when I opened the first page one had a partial sketch of a SMS 1 and the other has a full sketch of an SMS 1 and the SMS II aswell as many other differences between the 2 instruction manuals the one of the carts is a much darker almost brown colour and the other is a much lighter and almost red colour (This is not due to fading) The boxes also have differences for instance one has 6 language translations and the other has 8! I also noticed that one box says on the box that the date of manufacture is 1990 and the other says 1991. The other difference is that one has an R inside a circle near the SEGA logo and the other one doesn't (I have spotted the same thing with 2 copies of Rescue Mission but one having an R inside a circle near the SEGA logo and one not was the only difference) I have come accross references to this R thing before but have never really paid much attention to it, anyway any help in answering this question would be greatly apreciated Attachments:
