Hi yeah tycho , It's a weird problem, without a cart inserted I just get the sega logo. With a cart inserted the game jumps straight to alex kidd. The sound and picture is excellent but I'm unable to move alex kidd.
I will have to dig out the multi meter and see If I can find any bad connections, these are cheap to replace but I'd like to save it if at all possible.

Hey I got an issue with my master system 2, hoping someone might have an idea how to fix it.
So when I turn the system on I will either get a black screen with the blue sega logo , the logo goes away for a second as if the game is about to start but then the logo just returns.
Or sometimes it will just go straight to the first level of Alex Kidd without any logo or game introduction.
I'd rather not throw it out, I got some spare parts from another console that packed in, maybe some soldering and it could be good as new.

By all accounts it will work, no servers are needed, its just modem to modem. I believe the only pal game which is supported is cyberball. I mostly just got it cos it will look cool on my megadrive, it's also band new and not that expensive to import. Here is the video off youtube which got me interested in this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=qlTCt7fmZMo

This was a cool non master system item I picked up from Japan over Christmas. With the rise off online gaming it's cool to think Sega had this covered back in the day. I never knew this technology was available until I stumbled across a video on youtube and I had to get myself one. If anyone has this let me know and we could do some old skool online gaming.

Managed to pick up another few games for the collection along with the action replay and a controller, It's just a standard controller but has had a small pause button fitted, found it really useful when playing alex kidd to quickly access items.

I managed to pick up a few more games for the collection along with an item called ' Super Hero Control Pad'. Has anyone got this ? Looks more like a novelty item, like something you could win in machines at amusement parks maybe. It doesn't appear to be working but I only picked it up because I never seen it before.

yeah I'm all about the bulk buying also, this week I picked up a console with 18 fully complete games for 80 quid, once I sell the console the games will work out at 3 or 4 quid each.
I enjoy hunting the games down. Thinking I've got a good deal. If money was no object I reckon I would still do it this way rather than just buy it now everything.

Yeah it was a lucky find for sure, I'm going to keep my other unboxed handle controller to use when I fancy it , that way I don't have to strain the box moving it in and out. I got most of the accessories boxed now, If only I could find a nice we boxed SG commander, that would look well on my shelf.

My own collecting goals will always be revolving. I began with wanting the games I owned/remember from when I was a Kid. A full uk set is a goal I now plan to achieve , then it will be another goal. I'm becoming more disillusioned with current generation gaming and in future I will be spending more of my time & spare cash on the retro stuff.

Hi yeah its actually a German copy off great soccer which is slightly annoying as I only really want an English version , but it shall do in the meantime . Yeah I agreed to buy the games then the guy asked if I was interested in any master system accessories, I asked more in hope than expectation if he had a boxed handle controller and sure enough he did. I actually won another 12 rare games last nite from the same seller. Think he is selling a full set.
