Gordmans nickname thread got me thinking about this. Just mention something about yourself that might be interesting or funny or I don't know. Just something personal you are okay sharing that we might appreciate. I don't know if this qualifies as interesting about myself, but I think it's kind of odd and highlights a bit of my identity. I was born in Greece, to a Greek mother and a Finnish father. Even though I was born there and lived my first 5 years in Greece, I had a Swedish passport and have thus always been a Swedish citizen (my father back then was a Swedish citizen while my mother was Greek so they had the option to choose which citizenship I could get). When we moved to Sweden I refused to go to pre-school, so I spent my days watching TV and as Swedish TV had no cartoons during the day I watched British TV which meant that when I started school I knew Greek and English but barely a word Swedish even though I had been living in the country for 2 years! Which brings on the "ethnicity/identity crisis", after all those years in school, the language I'm best at is Swedish. But seeing as I started learning English so early and went in a English speaking class (majority of the lessons taught in English) in high school, the language I most often use in my head for monologues and thoughts is English. While technically my mothers tongue is Greek even though I can't write in Greek and barely can read. Which I remember left me quite confused once when I had to fill out a form and they asked for my mothers tongue or native language. And I honestly didn't know what to write. And to go back to nationality, technically I'm a foreigner in the statistics as I wasn't born in the country and both my parents weren't either, while at the same time as I mentioned always been a Swedish citizen thus making me Swedish. Which brings that great identity problem of feeling Greek in Sweden and when on holidays in Greece you feel Swedish. Go figure Do you have any story about yourself you want to share?

I haven´t too much to say about me. I was born in Berlin, Germany and I still live here. It isn´t a beautiful place as many people think. But there are some little places which I love. I grew up well protected. It was never easy for me at school, but I battled my way through these 10 hard years. I've learned a lot during this time and was characterized by it. Yes I had a bad time but it had a positive effect on me. I'm not as bad as the other people who were at my school. I´m ok I like wrestling, beer, videogames & music of the 80´s and 90´s. I like Bud Spencer & Terence Hill too ;D I worked often on pet shops in the past. I have two budgies at home and know much about how to maintain them. If anyone here has budgies and a problem, ask me and I try to help as good as I can. I made often internet radio a few years ago. I was very good at it, but the operators of these radios are like little children and cry about the smallest things. I often felt like in a kindergarden/pre school so I gave that internet radio hobby up one day. That´s the most interesting facts about me^^

Ah, 80s music! Never wrong The only thing depressing about the 80s is that every year it's one year older and you end up thinking to yourself, "The 80s was 30 years ago!?!" A good way to feel old. Internet radio? Sounds cool, what did you broadcast? Played music or was it talk radio? Wrestling?

Oh, I was born in 1987.I love the 80´s music, but I didn´t realize anything because I was too young^^ I played music with moderation. If you make internet radio, you sent from your home PC. You can play what you want, except forbidden music (indexed). I played what I want: Dance, rock, oldies, german pop songs ect. It was a great time, but there was also much negative experience. Especially if you realize whats going on internal.

Personally I was born in '83, so I was old enough to remember the 80s but thanks to being just a child back then, it feels special much thanks to nostalgia. Ah, I see. Power struggles among the people internally at the station or they just didn't like that you played what you wanted?

My childhood in the 90´s are great too. I often listening to 90´s music and remember me to that time were I had no problems^^
I had never problems with these guys. They had everytime something to dispute among each other. The problems are about the organisations and whats right or wrong. As I said, it was like in preschool. It was too much for me^^

I lived in the same house with my mum for 28 years before moving in to my own place with my girlfriend nearly 2 years ago. My mum and dad split when I was 9 but as my dad had worked on ships all over the world all that time the impact wasn't as great as it could have been. I was an only child growing up but now I have 3 half sisters from my dads 2nd marriage and now 2 step sisters from his 3rd marriage. I studdied art and design at college and then design at uni. My first job was packing fruit in a warehouse followed by food prep in a factory which included such delightful tasks as picking out bits of black diced carrot on a conveyor belt. I then worked in a Mountain Bike shop for about 3 years, then stacked shelves in Asda for a couple of years. I worked for a few years selling cigarettes at events and shows from a kiosk, good times but I wanted a 9-5 'normal' job. For the last 4 or 5 years I have worked in an office, quite enjoying it too Interests outside SMS collecting/ playing.. Spending time with my gf and friends, Whisky (currently have about 30 open single malts), my car, films, clothes, shopping, fish keeping (Cichlids), going to the pub and occassonal football match (Wigan).

Wigan, I see.
Is it hard being a Wigan fan in Manchester with the Utd/City fans? Or are they friendlier seeing as Wigan is not really a threat or big rival?
And where do you predict Wigan will end up in the table come May? Relegation or new contract?
Edit: and I hope you don't take offence by me saying that Wigan is not a real threat or rival.

Hmmm, what can i say about my life. I stick to the positive stuff and some funny experiences i had:
I collect video games, but i guess everyone knows that. I'm at the qantm college, currently trying to get the Master of Arts/Science Professional Practice (Creative Media Industries). I already have a Game Programming Diplom and a Bachelor of Science (Hons), Games Programming. I thought about stopping after the Bachelor, going to Sweden and make the Master there but that plan was scrapped, now i do it in Munich, which is better, at least that way i can still stay at home. Bad thing was, i had to wait, because apparently you have to be at least 25 years old, until you can start going for the Master Degree. I don't understand what age has to do with it...
I wonder where i will end up, as there isn't much of game developing scene in Germany (as Video Games have a very bad reputation). There's a developing company in Munich but they produce about the worst games known to mankind (Simulatios, like a Bungee Jumping Simulation, Farm Simulator, Police Simulation and hundreds more, they are awful)
I experienced a lot in my life, even though i'm not that old. I traveled the world, been to various music festivals which is always fun. I think one of the craziest experiences was the Bang Your Head (a Rock/Metal Festival in Germany) in 2005. On the first night there was a severe Thunderstorm, it was so extreme that several people got injured (because most people at those festivals tend to camp) and the second day was delayed because the storm destroyed a lot of the equipment and the stage. It was wild. Since them i've been every year in Sweden at the Sweden Rock Festival. Always fun, great people and i really like Sweden. It's such a nice country.
I traveled the world (Countries so far: Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Sweden, Scotland, Malta, Greece, Spain, USA, Canada, Japan, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Egypt, Dominican Republic) and had mostly a great time. Except in Greece, the Hotel was crap (advertised as 3 stars, while in reality it had only 1 and they didn't deserve that), they even locked us in the Restaurant and we had to eat in about 35 minutes, because after that, the second load of people was shoved into and locked in the Restaurant. It was the craziest and weirdest thing i ever saw. Most other vacations were great. The best time we had was in Japan. Been there multiple times and it was always fun. Tokyo is such a crowded City. We had our Room in the Hotel on the 28th floor and looking down on the streets, it was like looking at a Ant Colony and it's funny, just how many Hello Kitty stores they have there. They even built one on their sacred Shrine Islan Miyajima. I don't understand the fascination behind Hello Kitty. We've also been to Hiroshima and standing in front of the Bomb Dome (The Atomic Bomb explody directly above the building and while it was heavily damaged, it survived the explosion) i was overwhelmed with sadness. Just thinking about all the people who died there and those who suffered from radition in the following years, made me nearly cry. But overall Hiroshima was a fascinating city, the people were extremely friendly and it's really nice there (never before have i seen such a clean city)
Another weird experience was in Tunisia, we took a trip on some Dromedary through the desert and suddenly, one of those creatures started to lick my leg. It freaked me out, then i started to laugh. Apparently, the animal really liked my Suncreen lotion ;D

Well, what to say about me. Not sure I want to say, you guys all seem a lot more interesting than I am! Firstly, I live and grew up in London, England. East London to be exact, so I'm slightly cockney. I studied Multimedia in college, as web design, graphics, video editing, etc. is what I'm into. My job however is just an office one. It's nothing special but I get paid well enough for what I do and there's very little stress (which is important to me). I've been working full-time since I finished college. I was 18 then and am 25 now (I feel old). Other hobbies include sports. I'm into football and support West Ham United, for my sins. The main sport I play is table tennis. I play a couple times a week, captain a team in a league and have plenty of trophies. I watch and follow most other sports, including wrestling, if you count that. I've been to a few WWE shows at the O2 Arena and am off to see TNA at Wembley Arena in a couple of weeks. I also play guitar in a rock band. We never made it big or anything but we made a decent quality album and played a few shows, including one at The HMV Forum. Check us out if you like: Hopeless HeroOther obvious hobbies include video gaming and working on the website. I reckon I'm a pretty decent gamer. I've travelled a little bit I guess, just for holidays though. I guess I've been to about 10 or so different countries. Just booked a holiday today, off to Malta in a couple of months, which is a new place for me. Can't think of anything else to add at the moment. Feel free to ask any questions though if you're that interested.

Just booked a holiday today, off to Malta in a couple of months, which is a new place for me. That's a shame that you never before have been there. Becaus until i think 2 years, they still used those old english busses from the 1940's and 1950's for public transportation. There wasn't a organization behind it, but basically, people owned the busee and drove the routes. They painted the busses and decorated them very uniquely. It was fun using them. I've been two times to Malta, one was years ago, the second time was last year. Now they have modern busses and it's just not the same. But it's a very nice island, with lots to see and experience. Don't forget to check out the other two islands belonging to Malta: Camino (the Blue Lagoon Bay is beautiful) and Gozo. Gozo has some very impressive megalithic ruins and temples.

Wrestling is definitely a sport btw, I visit TNA Wrestling this month on jan 21 in Essen, Germany. I travel with 2 friends by train for some hours from Berlin to Essen. Can´t wait, because I see the stars in a meet&greet this day

Suprised at the amount of rock/metal fans and wrestling fans here.
Went to see WWE in Sheffield a few years ago and going to see TNA in Manchester on the 27th.
A few things about me i live in a island in Wales called Anglesey, I'm 22 and work at a co-op not really interesting but its better than no job i suppose.
I support A.C. Milan have done since 2000 i wasnt really into football when i was younger but had a A.C. Milan shirt with Van Basten on the back of it years ago and me and my brother bought championship manager in 2000 and so i picked them and since then i've been following them since and even been to see a few matches one in the San Siro against Empoli and the other at Sampdorias ground against Milan.
I've been to France, Germany, Holland and Italy. My parents have a place in Tuscany so i've spent quiet a bit of time over there and been to several football stadiums and marinello where ferraris are made.
As of music wise i went to Sonisphere 09 which was amazing! also been to see BFMV, BMTH AND Atreyu live all at the MEN arena.

Suprised at the amount of rock/metal fans and wrestling fans here. I guess it's natural. Most people here are somewhere between 25-35 years old. That was the time when Wrestling was really popular (The Wrestling craze from around 1990 until 1995 and later in the late 90's and early 2000's) Same with the music. Most here grew up during the 80's and early 90's when Rock and Metal was extremely popular (and unlike some other fads during the time, like Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer or all the Eurodance crap it's nothing to be ashamed about ) Todays gamer generation is more centered to Rap or the "Core"faeces (Metalcore, Emocore, whatevercore) they call 'Metal' today.

That is intersting as I work at the co-op head office Batman666 - most people in the office support Man City or Man Utd, they don't mind Wigan as like you say it isnt a threat. I dont mind really if Wigan go down, i've only been a fan for 4 or 5 years and its not great watching them get thrashed all the time, perhaps it would be more interesting if they dropped down. Lots of people have mentioned travel, I love travelling, mainly 1 or 2 week holidays: I have been to Scotland many times (inc the Isle of Islay once), Turkey 3 times, Tunisa twice, Morocco, Gran Canaria twice, Lanzarote, America, China, Spain, Portugal, France 3 times, Sweden, Majorca and Crete 5 times.
