The box is the same size, it's the inlay which is just a little smaller. Never had an Ozisoft box before, the outer plastic has a small indent in it which stops the inlay from falling down, it just rests on it. That's pretty cool!!!

Well then that is a little odd, nearly all Ozisoft boxes I have are smaller, slightly thinner. If you take out the insert and put it next to a Euro/ US version it's around 1cm difference (from memory). The box plastic feels different too, as does the cartridge. It is possible that it could be a reproduction but it seems odd for a low value game

Nah you are right it's a little smaller, by 1 cm. It looked the same to me, so I measured it!!! It makes sense for the inlay to be smaller in both length & width. But if you do that why not make the manual to fit in between the 2 clips inside. Yeah you can put a regular manual in, but you couldn't put a regular inlay in it without trimming it.... Just so everyone knows a regular box is 28cm (total width) A Ozisoft box is 27cm A cornflake box is....

I have a pile of loose Ozisoft inserts - some are trimmed on the edge, some are edited near the spine causing them to have an odd part of the grid pattern and some have other edits such as Ms Pac Man has a smaller text on the spine. I posted about some on the forum a while back... Not sure I could find it now! Edit, found it but the thread isnt that great so I've just grabed the info from the specific post and copied it below.. From an old thread post..Heres a few more variations that I havent discussed, all these are genuine. there isnt anything amazing but some of you may find it of interest. most (or all) of these have never been in boxes. I'l just start with putting the 2 ms pac mans together coz it's abit clearer the diffrence Another way of getting an insert to fit in an AUS box that Ozisoft tried was cutting down the space either side of the spine.. this Wonder Boy in Monster World is abit odd. It's got the metalic silver grid going over the bar code.. This Paper Boy's barcode and tengen logo has swapped places (are all AUS versions like this?), and although it says Ozisoft on the back it is still Euro sized. This last one (for now) is very minor but it's the 1st Back to the Future 2 ive seen that has ® instead of 'TM' over the Sega logo.

I'm just thinking.. The paper that is used for nearly all SMS inserts is quite distinctive, it's quite thin and semi glassy and the print high quality. Has anyone bought a reproduction off ebay that matches this paper type and quality?

I bought a copy of Sonic Blast last year and it looks like the insert is a photocopy as it is very blurry compared to my other Tectoy inserts. But the paper looks and feels just like every other SMS insert and it has straight edges, unlike other reproductions which are never straight. So I'm unsure if it's real or a fake, the cartridge is 100% real though. Has anyone else picked up a game like that?

Well Sonic Blast was never released for the Master System was it so it has to be a reproduction?

I've just noticed that the scans on SMS Power show two different version of Sonic Blast. The difference being the logo with the bird near the barcode.. However it also looks like the print quality is also different, but this could be just the scan quality perhaps the bottom scan looks worse quality to me, is yours the same as the bottom scan?

Just checked, it's the top one I have It doesn't look to bad in the photo but if you have it side by side to every other Tectoy cover I have, it just looks blurry and the print quality definitely isn't the same. The red text above the logos is almost impossible to read, but like I said before the paper quality is excellent, maybe it was a bad batch that was printed?

I think today it's very possible to find the same paper type and quality. The only hard part is the silver grid.
The production quality of Tec-Toy games is generally lower and it's quite easy to be fooled or wonder for the authenticity.

Hi all I just opened my sealed WolfChild which has the Halifax sticker on it. It's the Ozisoft version with a foldout manual which is just in English and 2 warranty cards The box text is in multiple languages though - is this legit? Edit: I also opened my copy of Mercs which also appears to be an Ozisoft game. I have a Power Strike 2 which has a folded manual and with the dark red label, I think they are all legit. The boxes and inlays are mint, so don't think they are fake....the inlays are slightly smaller though so you notice a bit of a gap at the bottom of the box. The seller should advertise them as Ozisoft versions with just the English manual though. It deceives you into thinking you're getting more of a bargain than you are maybe!!! I got them bought by an Ex so it's good my money didn't go to waste!!! www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MERCS-Sega-Master-System-EUROPEAN-VERSION-PAL-AU-NEW-SEALED-NEU-NEUF-NUEVO-RARE-/221467801611?clk_rvr_id=886131098933&rmvSB=true

Jpeg images can't handle red on blue like that very well. If your print is blurry then it must come from a bad fake (a good fake would involve buying the real thing to make high quality scans).

hey if anyone wants an Australian Wolfchild let me know, you can have if free, will save me binning it. its one of the new and sealed copies from italy. I'm not convinced its legit . I'm only going for a full uk set, I just got this to test the water with these new and sealed games before I buy the more valuable titles.
