I always thought it was strange that Sega created the arcade port of Pitfall 2 but never brought into the Master System. Maybe Activision was against it (then again Sega later licensed Ghostbusters from them) but i thought it would've been a good fit.

It could be a great game if it weren't for two monumental flaws: - The pathetic "difficulty", i've played a good 2000 games in my lifetime and this one still ranks as one of the easiest i've ever played. That kills a lot of the fun for me. - The music. It's horrible, especially compared to the awesome soundtrack the first Sonic had. Otherwise it has a lot of nice idea like that flying board or whatever it is and the level design is good. Excpept for the Bonus stages but then again, with the exception of Sonic 1 (Master System) and Sonic 2 (Mega Drive) they were always kinda bad. A shame really, add in more challenge and bosses that deserve that name and some good music and it would be better than Sonic 2...

Also, is any other wrestling fan excited about Fire Pro Wrestling returning? When i first saw it my jaw dropped, i thought after that horrendous abomination that was that xbox360 fpw and the way too early death of original series creator Masato Masuda it would be dead but it's back! Already it will feature everything FPW Returns has on a new engine with more moves, more caw items, "nearly unlimited caw slots" and as Early Access because they are listening to community wishes. It will ship with 30 fantasy wrestlers, leaving the rest to the community and at least on Steam it has full Workshop support for all creations (Wrestlers, Rings, Championships, Logos....) I'm so excited for this

30 years since Hulk Hogan VS Andre the Giant: Wrestlemania III was a landmark, probably the biggest wrestling event ever (i know most of the numbers got topped but with billions more people on this planet than in 1987, that's a given) delivering a good mix of everything from comedy (Bundy vs. the midgets) to the big hype (Hogan - Andre) to something for the more pure wrestling fans (Steamboat - Savage)

Sonic 1, i like the more "classic" plattform approach with finding the Crystals in the levels instead of some "all graphic, no substance" bonus level approch Castle of Illusion, i was always one to say that the Master System version was a lot more creative and more fluid in the level design (hidden boxes, the tea/coffee cup)
Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle has commonly be named a Miracle World Remake or Sequel, it sucks. I rather play Alex Kidd and the Lost Stars.
Lion King..the 16-bit version is crap, be it the Mega Drive, SNES or PC version it flat out sucks after 2 levels with it being a rather lazy job full of clipping, ai, level design errors. The MS version is toned down and better. Same goes with Batman Returns. The MD game was...something, bad level design and everything, the MS version has different paths, some better design, i even take it over the SNES version which is like a bad copy of Streets of Rage (MD version)

Graphically it definitely has the look of an 8-bit computer title. So it should feel right at home on an 8-bit computer which the Master System/Mark III is Having the first level spell out "GO" is kind of fun touch. I'm not that much into puzzle games (i like some and some can be addictive) and this one is horribly outdated and just slow, boring, old...i don't want to be a party pooper though

Even then, Sega didn't shut anything down, it's still out there. They did take it down. Bomber Games disolved, the website was shut down and obviously once something is on the internet it can't be stopped (see all the leaks and stuff) but it did stop further development of that game, Bomber Games had a roadmap with new features to be added and other things from the community they wanted to make and obviously that was stopped dead in its tracks thanks to Sega going haywire. I mean, sure, you can hope for the best but from what i know and learned (working in the game industry, no bragging just saying that it's a cutthroat like industry even on the indy level) the "better to be safe than sorry" saying totally applies to anything, so either you directly ask Sega if they are ok with that, apply for the license or rename everything a bit to avoid any copyright infringement claims. It's not like that Duke Nukem MS game where currently nobody even knows who really owns the rights to Duke Nukem and to what type of game so that one slipped under the radar while Gearbox, 3D Realms (the original company and the current holders of that name) and other companies are entangled in a bitter war (see the removement of the Megaton Edition from all stores)

Slow? The common complaint about Kick Off is that it's too fast in combination with the controls being too difficult and not a lot of fun - unless you turned the speed down, then it's just slow and still kinda uncontrollable. Dino Dini really made the whole thing work with Goal! where you can press the pass button which automatically holds the ball to the player, you aim into a direction, pass and with some timing can do some nice tricks. It was Kick Off done right but came after Sensible Soccer which by then already revolutionized the market (and then came ISS on the SNES and Super Sidekicks 2 - the only two old football games i still love (ISS Deluxe in the first case)

A Finnish brochure mentions Mean Machines gave it 96%. Mean Machines was crazy like that. I really wanna know what stuff they smoked when they came up with their "reviews" and ratings I always disliked Kick Off and never understood it's popularity (or that of Micrprose Soccer which has the same "too fast" & "ball jumps and flies around with no control at all" gameplay). I mean what happens there doesn't even resemble proper, real football, it's more like a bunch of super excited ants running around a small paper ball trying to move it around. Sensible Soccer was probably the first football that got everything right. Anyway, even now after trying it again and giving it yet another chance, i still don't like it. Also is it just me or is the music in the menu totally ill-fitting for a football game? It sounds more like it belongs into Land of Illusion or some other cutesy platformer.

Love this! I think i've found every bag/ coin but a map of where everything is would be fantastic. Gamefaqs has maps where most of the money drops are shown, altough some are missing like in Stage 3 before the boss fight, when you jump the correct way down there is a money drop and in round 5 on the left side of the well you have to jump into is also a money drop that is missing. There are also some other ways to get money, like fightign the enemy in Stage 4 twice: Go to him, kick his ass, drop down into the water afterwards and then enter the boss fight again. Altough i have to say if you have some skill you can run through this game rather easily with just the minimum of equipment: Basic shield (or maybe second tier so you don't get moved back when an arrow hits you), basic armor if you want it, tier 2 shoes are good enough to make all jumps easily, i found that the legendary boots are more of a problem than a help (you sometimes jump to high making the screen switch which is a pain in the ass in the moving platform part at the end) and of course if you want an easy time with the dragon, collect as many thunder flashes as possible. I think the rising platforms are an absolute killer in the maze and one where everyone seems to struggle. I think it's made unnecessarily difficult thanks to the horrible gamepads. Yesterday i played it on my PC and with my xbox360 pad (analogue stick being used) it was a whole lot easier than on the Master System with the regular game pads. It's definitely the most challenging part in the game though i would say.

Platformers never really were my thing, but if I'd gotten this 25 years ago, I bet I would've given a good shot at finishing it. Now I'm just going to cheat with emulator save... Cheating is lame and you don't really need to in the game, unless you really don't know where all the hidden money spots are, then a money cheat could be hand. Otherwise, the game is really easy except for the labyrinth and the boss fight. I just played it once again and finished it in just a little over 30 minutes (apparently the world record is 17 minutes...crazy)

I really don't think they're going to care about a game made at production cost for a bunch of weirdos who play a dead system... But that's exactly what happened with Streets of Rage Remake. It's also what Nintendo is doing all the time, they shut down each and every attempt at a fan game. Other companies do it too like LucasArts going after a bunch of fans creating sequels to their favourite old LA games like Zak McKracken. Calling it really "Alex Kidd in Miracle World 2" is basically directly asking for a cease and desist which will shut down the project. It would be wise to use something different, like the mentioned Miracle World 2 or Return to Miracle World or whatever.

First of all: Damn, wow, can't wait to see what it will be A name like ´Return to Miracle World´ (the name of the other game that was made) would fit better. To make it an official sequel without permission seems to be very wrong to me. I would agree with this but mostly because calling and advertising it with a title that sounds like something official can get you easily into legal troubles i fear. Segas isn't exactly unknown to throw a hissyfit about fan games, just remember how they acted about Streets of Rage Remake...

To be honest, I am familiar with actual women´s wrestling only. I would go so far and say that Jaguar was easily on the level of Dynamite Kid, Ricky Steamboat and Bob Backlund in the 80's, really one of the best of all time (reatired to early, had about as many comebacks as Terry Funk and just a s Funk tarnished her legacy because of that) But she even showed that Wendi Richter has more skill than what she showed in the WWF against Leilani Kai or Moolah As for Cutie Suzuki: More T&A than anything, she had a mega drive game and was popular but really not good compared to most others. Also on a very sad note, Ivan Koloff has cancer and is in a bad condition The rusian bear, one of the real heel legends
