Reviving this thread with both a SEGA and wrestling connection. Reminds me of the Ultraviolent "Fans bring the weapons" matches from CZW and IWA:MS were you frequently saw a NES or Atari (people didn't know how much they would be worth ) and the wrestlers using them to get brain damage. Obviously there in Impact the shots are ultra safe and the Dreamcast still worked (unlike in those previous mentioned promotions, were the consoles ended up wrecked) but it also reminds how much wrestling sucks nowadays.

Ps When reading old posts like this I always wonder what happened to the op. I wonder if they have long forgotten about the sms or are still out there playing it... Yeah, especially since i had contact to most of those people and i always wondered why they stopped posting and vanished (yeah, i did too for some time but i do return from time to time) Chaoticjelly was one of the fun posters back in the day. As for Alex Kidd: I still always get a chuckle when so called retro gamers on youtube or younger gamers claim the game is too difficult or "challenging". Miracle World is actually quite easy if you know your way around. Even nearing age 40, i can still run through the game without any problem (and my 30+ year old paper with the janken codes is still intact )

a Flintstones plattformer would be really great! Taito released one in 1993 for the Mega Drive, though graphically, it looks a lot closer to a late-gen Master System game and it's mediocre at best. It's actually surprising it wasn't ported to the MS.

Emulator. My Master System is connected to a TV (and i did use it last year just for fun), emulators are more convenient though. I found a nice Launchbox pre-configured set that consists over 21,000 games for basically all non-cd based consoles (and Arcade, C64, Amiga, CPC and ZX) including flyers, box scans, marquees and to make it playable on a widescreen: Borders fitting for the system and a CRT border on the playscreen, so it really looks great. I use a Retro-bit 6 Button Mega Drive Pad, it's even licensed by Sega and is just like the original, otherwise for more Arcade stuff i use my trusty old X-Arcade Tankstick, still goes strong after 18 years

If the stickers were properly sized and alligned (and better printed), those cartridges would look a hell of a lot better than the actual legit cartridges.

Funnily today i just had a urge to play it today after seeing that it finally got achievements on RALibretro and i'm still enjoying it. It's a game that really stood the test of time, with great level design and the 2 characters having different levels/sections. Still ranks as one of the few good Asterix games and it makes me wonder why so many after that failed to capture the same spirit and fun. Like the recent Asterix & Obelix XXL 3, which is just disappointing Well, except Level 2. Automatic-scrolling levels are straight from hell to torture people. rubber duck them!

At least pastime of ours is usually done indoors eh! True, altough i really miss all my other things. No Golf, no concerts (i have a stack of tickets collecting dust for nearly 1 year now) And there's no ending soon. We're still in lockdown until January 31, here in Bavaria it's so that we're not even allowed to go outside past 9 pm - and the polticians now think about extending this to 24 hours! Like, you're only allowed outside to shop for grocieries or if you need to go to the Hospital. This was the saddest Christmas and New Years. As i told my friends: The first time since 1999 i spent New Years Eve not with friends but at home (we still had fun playing games online and watching wrestling and stuff, but still)

Uh...no, just no. This just looks blinking disgusting, cheap (unity probably) and doesn't even come close to the style of Wonderboy and its modern day remakes. Wonder Boy in particular just looks like your generic anime character you find in anything nowadays and the stilted walking animation alone just sucks.
The music is also so unimaginative, it's like you take the original music and have it re-recorded by a 5 year old on his first 80's casio keyboard

People here go crazy by now, another lockdown, we have propaganda faeces on the radio (telling us that the lockdown is a good thing, that we should make the best of it, that we should just stay home even for christmas....honestly, the propaganda we have going on here would make Göbbels blush!) and it works I was buying my usual ration to drink (a crate of water, a crate of beer, a bottle of rum, a bottle of whiskey, some bottles of ice tea) and there was a line at the register, i went behind, some people bumped into me, including one bumping also into a crate of beer destroying it and i took a step forward, brushing the woman in front of me and she went nuts how about there's a safety line and 1,5 meters, blabla, i (i was wearing a mask and all that) told her to look behind me - she still called me out for "endangering" her by being so close....

Kinda reminds me of Games World, mixed with X-Base, two hilariously silly game shows that ran on TV here in Germany in the mid 90's. It didn't have quite the BDSM overtones but was the same wacky concept, with kids competing against each other and finally facing some form of Terminator (usually a guy in a silly costume, acting all bad ass). X-Base also had this computer generated moderator (which rarely worked properly, the show had so many issues with their computers and stuff )

Here in Germany it's still a blinking shitshow, especially here in and around Munich. We have once again regulations, some are so stupid, it's unbelievable, like no alcohol can be sold after 11 pm...as if that changes anything about the virus. Concerts/Events are still a no-go, while they can be done in limited capacity everywhere else (like, not even fans are allowed in football stadiums) I am sick and tired of all this bullshit and having to wear a mask pretty much everywhere... All the while this pandemic made people go crazy seemingly. Demonstrations everywhere, this idiot Attila Hildman is going around claiming covid was created by the evil USA and Bill Gates, merkel is secretly a communist and the worst thing is: He has thousands of followers who believe this nonsense.

I think a lot of people are assuming that hot summer weather in the northern hemisphere is going to slow this thing down Iran proved that hot weather doesn't slow the virus down. They got hit hard after all. Even after all the regulations and lockdown, we get infected here in Germany and infected are only those who go to a hospital or doctor, which a small numbver. Pwople still die from covid-19 every day And all the stupid protests lately will have a negative effect. You'd think protestes would wear masks to be anonymous but nope, they don't and thus....infections will happen again.
