What`s the worst game you owned on the SMS? For me, it`s got to be Champions Of Europe. Surely the worst football (soccer) game in the WORLD. Borderline broken and totally hateful!

Without a doubt, The Flintstones! It was one of the first games I had as a kid and I hated it back then, I still have the accursed thing all these years later lol

Well I suppose it'd be between Strider, Thunder Blade and Shadow of the Beast.
I think Thunder Blade being basically unplayable might give it the edge but oh the stupid trial and error "wrong key, haha it's gone now start again" of Shadow of the Beast might trump it...

Great Football is one of the only games I had that I returned to the store to exchange for something else. That game just isn't right. Technically, it works, but the concept for single player is so wrong. The game starts in the 4th quarter, with your team down by a random amount of points - sometimes 40+. That kind of thing would be nice for a challenge mode, but not for the entirety of the single player experience.

It was one of the first games I bought as an 8/9 year old. My local Toys R Us never seemed to have any game I wanted in stock. Hoping to get WonderBoy, Shinobi, or Double Dragon, none of which they had. So being a young football fan I thought why not Great Football? What a mistake, I am sure anything else in stock would have been better! All that being said, F-16 Fighting Falcon was my worst. Although I own maybe 20 or so games I have yet to try. So something is bound to take its place.

It truly is a terrible game. Check my football game mini-reviews for my thoughts shinobiman.proboards.com/post/83634/thread

Surprised nobody has mentioned Back To The Future II yet That's my pick as it was a game I had "back in the day" but now that I also own Flintstones, maybe it's not the worst game in my SMS collection anymore

I'm quite proud of some of my choices of game. I actually did a lot of game hiring and if the game was good enough and not so easy that I completed it in a couple of days, then I would buy it. That was the case with Black Belt and Secret Commando/Rambo II. One mistake I made was MY HERO. I mistook difficult for good. lol. I didn't realize the game only had 3 levels then looped.
Darius II(Sagaia) was a nice choice if only for the music. Strider II was a slight letdown. I think I made another slight mistake with Chuck Rock which was difficult, but not especially good. Space Gun which was basically the last SMS game I bought before getting a Mega Drive was a pretty weak adaptation from the arcade game, but then I suppose it was a pretty ridiculous idea to even try to make a decent downgrade of that game.
So yeah MY HERO was the worst game I ever owned.

Mine would have to be.... Psycho Fox. I was only about 9 when I bought it and spent months saving up my £1 a week pocket money to be able to afford a good game. I didn't really read magazines so reviews weren't something I knew about so I'd always wander down to Toys R Us to check the boxes and see the games being shown on a screen. I was usually quite lucky in what I picked with a mix of box art and screenshots able to tell the good from the bad. It was how I chose WonderBoy 3 (talk about luck!) and Alex Kidd in High Tech World (I still love it to this day, short but sweet). Yet one time I picked Psycho Fox over Outrun for £29.99 and couldn't have been more disappointed when I finally played it. I thought it was boring at the time and haven't touched it since, I still have that niggle at the back of my mind so I won't be rushing to pick it up until the later days of my collecting.

It was one of my first games that I bought to. Unlike you I totally loved it and when i started my collection again it was high on my list of wants but i can honestly say ive only played it once in 3 years. I just cant get into it this time round maybe ill have to give it another go...
