Hard one. Why there was no Ljn games for the master system. But there is one game i didn't like and that's Altered Beast. I hate the sms version. it was impossible to play

Discovering Snail Maze after months of already having the SMS and not knowing it was there all along was priceless!

From all versions I´ve seen, the SMS version is one of the best. I guess you had problems with the controls or something.

In fact I have never liked it on any system I attempted to play it on plus I think the theme of the game is terrible,I was going to mention Golden Axe as the topic question seems to be in the past tense, I do not own the SMS version of GA anymore.

Enduro Racer is the best game ever made for the SMS.

I can never understand the negative views of Golden Axe, it looks pretty amazing for the MS and doesn't play all that bad. There's much worse games out there.

Yeah I don't get it either. No character choice or 2 player, but otherwise everything is in there and it's responsive. It's practically the same game (minus the extra stage), with the usual graphical/sound limitations of an SMS port.

I quite agree there are worse titles out there but I have not as the topic suggests owned some of the games we would perhaps consider beneath GA. Don't get me wrong guys I am a fan of the game in general and own the arcade board too (complete with suicide battery),it is just the fact that it looks great but once it starts moving the low animation rate of the Sms version just puts me off completely, perhaps they should of not tried a port of it.

Hard one. Why there was no Ljn games for the master system. Because most people have no clue. LJN was just a publishing name for Acclaim games (Acclaim bought LJN in the late 80's and than mostly only used the name to publish twice as many games as Nintendo allowed back then per publisher) On the Sega Systems Acclaim used Flying Edge for the same purpose, on the Master System crap like the T2 Arcade Game or George Foreman's KO Boxing.

I hate Dynamite Dux. As a nine year old child I was fooled by some suspect positive reviews in magazines and good looking graphics. After spending £30 (in the 80s) and then completing it on my second attempt I was pretty annoyed.

Ooft, yeah. Really easy games. I only own one game I completed in my first sitting - Taz Mania (picked up last year for about £3, completed a friend's copy back in the day). I don't mind easy if it has replay value (I can counterstop the score on Scramble Spirits these days, but it's still fun to play and took me ages to finish when I was a kid) but if you pay full price for something that's over pretty much straight away? Ouch.
Closest I had to that was Sonic Chaos when it came out. Completed on my second proper playthrough (it was an xmas present so I faked a few game overs on the day to hide my disappointment from my parents at how easy it was) but it broke within a week so we got a refund on it.

There are three cases, you were very good players or I was very bad or both... I never had completed an SMS game so quickly as a kid. I think the first one I completed (excluding Enduro Racer) was Taz-Mania, but probably took me around 15-20 days. I think the worst game I owned was Supper Tennis. My friends never wanted to play it, however personally didn't find it that bad...
