Wouldn't they be cheap parts anyway seeing as they were made so long ago? Most are only small boards with a few bits n bobs on. You can still buy new games today in small batches for things liek the NES and SNES which are new for special occasions. With Smurfs 2 the guy wouldn't have had to sell many to make his money back so seems like a good gamble to take on a crate full.

This discussion does raise an interesting question in particular about Smurfs 2.... how do we know the original "discovery" was actually legit? With the right sort of paper and printing which wouldn't cost much the guy who found that crate could recreate them. I know someone mentioned the chips having Sega printed on them but you can pretty much get anything like that done over in China these days for a few grand by all accounts. Isn't there another way to see if they are okay?
Those games were selling around 4-500 when they were released into the wild so a few thousand to get decent copies done could be a good investment! Or am I just being too suspicious!

Having a bit of a clear out. Can provide pictures if required but all have manuals with cases in good working order, I also cleaned each catridge with Isopropryl on the contacts so they practically gleam! P+P is £2 per game. Buy a few and I'm sure we can come to some sort of deal. UK only guys and they are all PAL. Arcade Smash Hits - £6 Battle Out Run - £9 Danan: The Jungle Fighter - £9 Double Hawk - £9 Galaxy Force - £6 Ghouls'n Ghosts - see below Marksman Shooting / Trap Shooting / Safari Hunt - £7 Ottifants, The - £15 OutRun - £9 R.C. Grand Prix - £6 Rampage - £9 Strider II - £9 T2: The Arcade Game - £23 Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar - £23 Zillion - £9 Zillion II: The Tri Formation - £12 GnG - There's a white sticker on the black part of the cartridge, will need cleaning off but the main label is fine - £13

Well Sonic Blast was never released for the Master System was it so it has to be a reproduction?

Back to your question on whether or not to go down the Repro route my advice would be to stick to original Sega products wherever possible. I know this can be expensive but the official stuff keeps and can even increase in value over time so it's not like you will lose your investment. With the Repro stuff on the other hand your only going to lose money because there is the prospect of massive quantities being produced driving down the prices. That being said if there wasn't an original Sega game made then I'm a big fan of Repro games (Yie Ar Kung Fu for instance, love that game) Most seem to be around the £30 mark on eBay these days, I know it's not an easy thing to create judging from threads I've read all over so to me I think it's a fair price. I've bought a few myself over the years even some MS ones recently none of which have failed. So unless you are forking out hundreds of pounds for one you aren't going to lose much!

You could probably make one. They were just old Quickshot sticks sprayed gold!

It's pretty terrible all round, avoid where possible! You can buy a scart adaptor to fit the port on the back of the MS 1 from ebay so well worth looking into.

This sort of gives me an idea... there was a chap on here ages ago who was determined to do a video of completing every single MS game. Seems to have died off as I recall, what if it was done as a forum challenge? Anyone can take part they just have to film full footage of the game being done. The result is posted on a page somewhere on site?
