Brexit

Ever since the vote went through, there's barely been a day that has gone by without some kind of breaking news being aired with relation to Brexit. Be it a prominent political figure making controversial statements, reflecting on campaign promises, or retiring all-together, or that an allegedly substantial number of British people feel remorse about voting leave, because they feel they've been "mislead".
To be honest I'm actually not that much into politics, however since many of you here are from the UK, I was curious to know how you are feeling about the vote, and what your outlook is on the situation, and the future of the UK (and Europe) in that regard.

Everyone has a different point of view depending on their own life experiences and personal circumstances which I completely respect but from my point of view the decision of the majority of the British people to leave the EU is a positive one (When we eventually complete the break with the EU we will be able to control our own borders, set our own laws, set the level of VAT, decide what goods and services to charge VAT on etc, etc... (It's a very long list) To put it in perspective for our American cousins there once was a King called King George III who suffered from occasional bouts of insanity who after an expensive war with the French decided to top up the coffers by taxing British colonies in America on goods such as Tea. This didn't go down too well and we all know what happened next. Luckily we didn't have to go to war to achieve independence. There are people in the UK who are worried what will become of us without the support of the EU but I'm sure there were British subjects in American colonies who shared the same concerns all those years ago but the USA hasn't done too badly for itself has it? Imagine what would have become of America and it's subjects had they not won there fight for independence.

I think most people voted without knowing or being informed about the effects of each choice and this is normal as the majority are not that much into politics these days. Obviously each choice has positives and negatives, however I think staying in the EU was a slightly better option. I'm not in UK to know the exact everyday life, my point of view is just that isn't the best to be "alone". Of course everybody wants the independence of his country, but when everybody around you are in a group I think is better to follow them.
The British Pound has already been devalued and UK will need a totally indigenous economy, producing all goods within the country. Imports and exports will probably be difficult or very expensive.
I'm not a fan of EU and maybe will be destroyed soon, but I think it's the only option at the moment.
This is just my silly point of view, I have no idea about economics!

I voted to leave the EU. I'd always planned to vote leave so I didn't even bother watching any of the debates.
I could write an essay on why I wanted to leave the EU but can't be bothered. In the short term we may be worse off but in the longterm I think my children will benefit.

I voted to stay in because I don't think the country was doing that bad as part of the EU, and leaving it isn't a simple process that's guaranteed to get what leave voters wanted.
