Thats a good point, I haven't seen any for sale in ages, I suppose you can't expect new old stock to be around forever. And you can bet that many of these are actually opened by buyers. The blister packed games were sold in France, so thats wher eyou want to be looking most.

Some sites might not regard Sonic, Spiderman and Strider as US releases as these games were simply the European releases sold in the US. Normally a game had a seperate release in the US - with a different cover and manual design to the European ones. These three games did have an extra bardcode (UPC) sticker applied to them in the US, which is the only thing that differentiates them from the ones sold in Europe.
So its kind of a matter of opinion whether you class them as a proper US release or not. If your not a fussy collector and you want copies of these games you'll find it easier and cheaper to buy them from Europe, as in the US they weren't very widely sold.

You don't really need an extensive tutorial, the Master System is a very simple design, theres just one board inside, no moving parts, no security screws.
Before starting unplug the power supply, pad and tv lead from the console. Then just remove the screws from the underside of the system, and it opens in two. The board is screwed on to the lower half of the plastic case, and can be removed also. With the board out, giving the case a good wash with water is perfectly fine to do. The board itself you can carefully use a hoover attachment on - or compressed air like you said.
Its wise to be reasonably careful about static electricity - touch a metal surface like a radiator on occasion before handling the board as chips can be damaged (although this is not too likely).

Yes you can use a power supply from either console on both, thats no problem at all.
Almost all the games play on both systems, although there are a few that don't play on the earliest versions of the SMS1. The codemasters games and a few of the Brazilian Tectoy ones don't work on a SMS1 with no built in game, or just Hang on Built in. A SMS1 with either Alex Kidd or Hangon AND Safari Hunt built in will play everything a SMS2 does.
And a SMS2 doesn't play the card games as it has no card slot, as you probably know already.

Megadrive pirates are a lot more common than sms ones, and generally aren't worth much. Its value could depend on how interesting the cover and cart artwork are, get a photo up if you can.

It might work fine on your TV or it might not. Since you have already bought the console, you can find out for yourself once it arrives. Or if you can't wait just google the specifications for the TV you have and see if it supports PAL-I.
If its a SMS1 then you can simply use an RGB scart or cheaper AV lead to bypass any RF encoding anyway.

Haha, a big WTF for the Wonder Boy cover. Nice artwork, but somehow it isn't Wonder Boy to me without the loincloth. What game is Shinobi, then, if it isn't Shinobi? I've never heard of that before...I know Ninja Gaiden is different between SMS and GG, but Shinobi? Cool.

I couldn't resist buying a few Tectoy Game Gear games from Maikol. I really like the different artwork used for Master of Darkness and Wonderboy, and of course Shinobi which is a totally different game.

Its a standard RF connection on both SMSI and II models. You don't need the official lead with the switchbox in it - that just makes it more convenient than swapping leads, a plain RF lead will do.

I can understand you want this one if you're going for a full collection. There's one problem with NES collecting, though, and that's that it's not really possible to get a full collection. The number of variants and unlicensed, especially by country, pirated titles if you want to include those, etc., is just ridiculous. No one has done it yet. Because of this, I'm of the opinion that you're better off focusing on what you like the most or what you want out of the collecting of it. Completion is not really feasible. You could say the same thing for sms though surely. Theres lots of variations some of which are so far unqiue, who knows how many pirate carts released in Korea etc. A complete one of each release/excluding variations Nes collection is possible isn't it? By which I mean a full US set, which seems to be the goal for most people. I can't say I've come across anyone from Europe wanting a complete Euro nes set for instance.

Well the seller didn't even bother responding to the complaint case I opened on ebay, which has now passed 10 days and closed. So now its up to ebay to decide if he did anything wrong, but they wont be getting me back any money no matter the result since I didn't use paypal on the sellers insistance.
What makes it all the more annoying is that two cheaper and genuine complete copies came up for sale so soon after I bought this fake, and having wasted so much on this I really didn't feel like buying another straight away.
