Howdy. I'm pretty set on selling most of my games. But I can't bring myself to give it all up so I'm thinking of holding onto 10 games.
My Current List:
1.Ghost House 2.Fantasy Zone 3.AKIMW 4.Castle of Illusion 5.Land of Illusion 6.Legend of Illusion 7.Smurfs 1 8.Shooting Gallery 9.? 10.?
How about you/

Huh, I wouldn´t sell my games, but if I would do it, I would keep more than 10 SMS games. There are too many good games I couldn´t sell^^ Around 30 as a minimum.

Astro warrior, wonderboy, power strike, the ninja, my hero... Gordman is right I'd say - its going to be tough picking ten.

Theres way too many excellent games to just pick 10, like Gordman suggests I would keep more than that. 30 is a good number as it will give you a good selection of games to play while still not taking up masses of room.
Limit to ten and you'll lose quality stuff like The Ninja, Alex Kidd in Shinobi World, Shinobi, Operation Wolf, Micro Machines, SONIC!

Like others have said, narrowing it down to just 10 games is pretty difficult.
You'd have to take into account personal favourites, the fun factor, longevity and variety.
My list would be something like: Sonic, Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Phantasy Star, Wonder Boy III, Black Belt, Psychic World, Land of Illusion, Tecmo World Cup '93, Action Fighter, Shinobi.
I chose those games from what I could remember, it's definitely not a conclusive list.

The only way I would sell my games is if I replaced them with a Master everdrive, other than that think about which games you plau the most and keep the.

I think, considering the extensive collections many people keep, that it might be difficult to choose 10 games to get rid of, much less to choose only 10 games to keep! But it's fun to think about. My approach would be to try and get one or two of the best titles from each genre...
Platformers - Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Kenseiden. One is bright and happy, the other one dark and brooding. There's a lot of secrets to discover in both.
Racing games - Out Run, Micro Machines. Out Run has a lot of replay value with the branching tracks and selectable songs. Micro Machines is a great two-player racer.
Shooters - R-Type, Power Strike II. Great titles that showcase a lot of the power of the SMS, and of course are incredibly fun too!
Adventure - Phantasy Star, Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap. Both classics with a lot of depth. I leaned towards Wonder Boy in Monster Land because I've played it so much, but went with III because I haven't played it much yet.
Other: Space Harrier, Double Dragon. Space Harrier is just a singular experience of brilliant insanity. Double Dragon is another two-player game, and the brawler genre was for a time one of the most popular, so I thought it deserved representation.
Wow, good challenging topic. It took me probably 45 minutes to write this post!

I guess it's obvious I kinda like platformers more than anything else. ;D Honestly, I was never a real collector. I started off buying all the games I loved/wanted but couldn't afford when I was a kid and then it got a bit out of hand. I never got close to a full collection 100+ and plenty of peripherals. I suppose I'm just scaling back to how I originally started out, plus I need the space. There's still a few games I would like to have owned/played but never did but I've never spent more than £25 on a single game (Power Strike II) and I'm not likely to get smurfs 2 or a boxed hang on card spending that kinda wedge. I'll be a bit sad to see them go, but hopefully they'll go to good homes.
