Game GavelNothing interesting yet, but it's for Video Games only. Haven't read the rules yet but it looks like its free listing. Lets all boycott Ebay ;D

I think i'll bang some stuff on there too. The more people list stuff the more chance it has of surviving. I think someone over at DP came up with it.

Problem is that most people that sell games on ebay also sell a whole load of stuff, like dvds, clothes etc. So by limiting an auction site to just games, your also vastly limiting the number of sellers who will use it.
Theres practically nothing on this games auciton site either, I know if I were to set up an auction site I'd make sure i listed a whole load of stuff myself, and got everyone I knew to do so aswell, to get the ball rolling.

Hey everyone! This is my first post here, as I found out about it today while looking through the Google Analytics Report for GameGavel.com
I am the owner of GameGavel.com, and I want to thank the original poster for mentioning my site! I know I have a tough up hill battle against the machine that is eBay, but I think that their policy changes and such have left a sour taste in many gamers mouths!
Let me take a minute to explain a few things about GameGavel.com!
1. All of your listings are FREE. No insertion fees, no final value fees! The only thing we charge for, which is very modest, is the featured items on the front page, highlighting, bolding, and category featured items. Other than that, its FREE!
2. We allow you to link your auctions to the DP Rarity Guide, to help inform your potential buyers about everything and anything they may need to know!
3. We have multiple feedback references for you to list, including DP, eBay, Shumps, Goozex, Cheap Ass Gamer, 2D Gaming, PCEngineFX, and any others that are brought to my attention!
4. Of the smaller auciton sites, we are the only to offer a Bulk Lister for those sellers with a lot to sell! Its free and easy to use, and you can import your stuff from the eBay Turbo lister too!
5. I am a collector, and a video gamer as well. I didn't start GameGavel to get rich. I started it simply to help out those Gamers that were tired of eBay. My goal is to break even to keep the site running smooth for everyone!
6. We have amazing contests! Remember #5? I am commited to making GameGavel a FUN and EXCITING place. That being said, I run contests like no other site! The first month online we gave away a FREE BOXED NES to one person! All they needed to do to qualify was to sell 5 items on GameGavel! This month we are giving away a FREE NEW GAME ($60 value) to one lucky seller verified person! And we have a running $500 contest going to one lucky verified seller when the site reaches 1000 verified sellers! Awesome!
There are many reasons to join GameGavel.com, but the best reason is to take back the community and keep it among fellow gamers! GameGavel and others wont survive unless the community takes a chance and supports us. GameGavel will ALWAYS be the #1 for features amongst the smaller sites though, guaranteed!
If you find anything a feature missing at GameGavel, let me know and I will work to find the answer and solution to make it a reality! I am 100% committed to making GameGavel.com YOUR choice for video game auctions!

I would appreciate the posability to add a link to "other" sites. I got about 2000+ feedback on a swedish auction site and though some people might not care about it some would im sure. So adding an empty referal box would be cool.

Consider it done! I have added an Other Sites section for feedback, for the couple of lesser knowns or regional sites only.
Thanks for creating an account and joining GameGavel!

I've joined too . I'm gonna list a few NES lots tomorrow along with a few MD spares. The only thing that concerns me about the site is there isn't that many members to bid the price up which means i have to start at a higher price than usual. Anyway, i'll see how it goes. If i opened a store would my store items show up in the category listings on the main page or would you have to visit the store to see the items?

Ninja,
Welcome to the site! I think you will find with any new sites, that it is important to list the item for the minimum you wish to sell it for. With no insertion fees and no final value fees.... there is no downside to doing that either!
If you start a store, the store is listed on the front page. Also, you can have your store items be listed in your store only or as auctions and store items. Its up to you!
For your auctions, take advantage of the bulk lister software, and try it out if you want to easily add a bunch of items!
Thanks for your support. The more items that are listed, the more people will join the site the more money your items will fetch! Its a vicious cycle, but it will be well worth it when the FREE site is the best place to sell video games over others!

Just a heads up. The second contest at GameGavel.com is closing for eligibility tomorrow! By verifying your sellers account, you are entered for a chance to win a game of your choice for a current generation console of your choice. A $60 Value Free! You will also be automatically entered in the $500 contest as well. When we get to 1000 verified sellers at GameGavel.com I will be giving $500 to one of them!
Let the Gavel Fall!
Jasen

Anyone know how to upload pics on this site?
When i try uploading images from my PC it tells me they're too big, and i don't seem to be able to upload pics from photobucket.
Any ideas?
