I had the Master system powerbase possibly in 1988 with the snail game built in ,I had Ghost House along with it on Sega Card. Other games I owned later were Choplifter , World Grand Prix and Outrun. Ghost House and World GP are still goto games for me and I still consider Ghost House to be one of the underrated and tech advanced games for the time.

Here's my childhood collection. I don't remember the exact year I got the system, but it came with 3 games as special offer, Enduro Racer, TransBot and Super Tennis. However most time was spent on the built-in AKIMW. Ninja Gaiden has a small story behind it. I had asked my parents to get me a ninja game and they bought Ninja Gaiden without cover and manual. They explained me that it was half priced and they preferred it. I suppose it was used in a kiosk display or something. Happily they didn't get me The Ninja instead. When I started playing my SMS again in early 2000s, I just printed the first photo I found on Google to cover the box, lazy enough. I could replace the box these days, but kept it like this to remind me its story. Also, when I got Cosmic Spacehead all my friends were saying "You bought a wrong game, this cartridge is for the Mega Drive", due to the strange shape.

Oh guys, your pictures are AMAZING! Thank you for sharing. I dont' have any picture of me + the SMS, though my earliest games (bought by my parents for me) were: Psychic World (that's the reason why I'm in love with that game) and Super Tennis. Later, I played and loved Castle of Illusion, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, Wanted, Ghouls 'n Ghost, Bubble & Bobble.

I personally didn't grow up with the SMS, but our neighbors had one and we played it over there all the time. So if you consider that, I "grew up" with Thunderblade, Alex Kidd and the Lost Stars, Zillion II, Captain Silver, and especially Double Dragon, which in my opinion is still the best port of that game at that time. We played those for hours.

The journey began sometime in the late 80's (don't remember the year exactly), when my brother got an SMS 1 as Christmas present, as far as I remember it was the version with the snail maze game built in. Apart from that he got World Grand Prix, Hang-On and Alex Kidd in Miracle World. Some pictures can be seen underneath (I'm the little guy in the white PJ's) Yes, my dear brother was very much spellbound by this new, awesome machine, and had a hard time focusing on anything else that evening (The "Dude, what?" expression on the last picture says it all ) I remember we had the following games for the system (some I got later myself, when my brother had moved on to the Amiga): Action Fighter Alex Kidd in Miracle World Alex Kidd in Shinobi World Alex Kidd in High-Tech World Asterix Astro Warrior/Pit Pot Choplifter Dragon Crystal Ghouls n' Ghosts Golden Axe Warrior Great Golf Great Soccer (card version) Hang On Running Battle Shooting Gallery Sonic the Hedgehog Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Spider.Man Super Tennis Taz-Mania Transbot Wonderboy III: The Dragons Trap

Don't have pics and going off memory but my childhood SMS collection consisted of a model 1 console with the following games:
Transbot (card) Altered Beast Shinobi Golden Axe Out Run Out Run 3D Space Harrier 3D Vigilante California Games RC Grand Prix Spy vs Spy (card) Hang On (card) Thunder Blade
Accessories: Sega Control Stick Rapid Fire Unit Segascope 3D Glasses
Pretty sure that's about what I had when I swapped it with a mate for a Commodore 64... kinda regret it and kinda don't. lol.
