Hi there! First, please excuse my bad English. I'll try my best but mistakes are guaranteed Anyway, my name's Miguel. I'm 33 years old and I'm toying with the idea that maybe I'm starting a SMS collection The SMS wasn't my first console. I played before with the ZX spectrum, old PCs and even Atari 2600. But the SMS was the first true console for me. After this system, I continued with almost every platform, until the PS3 when suddenly I lost interest about video games after 20 years playing them all. I think I'm here because of nostalgic reasons. I mean that nowadays I don't think I can enjoy playing SMS games for hours. But there's a true connection between this system/games and my childhood memories that I can't skip. That's the main reason for me to start a collection. I bought an unused (I hope so!) SMS 1 some months ago, and then bought an unused (hope so again!) SMS 2. Now I think I'm buying some games So, I'm happy to be here guys and hope I'll learn a lot of you and have a great time. Greetings from Spain!

Welcome Miguel! We all have childhood memories to the Master System. If you want to start a collection, take a look at the main site and surf through the games database. You will find great stuff for sure

Thank you guys. I think that maybe I should start with some cheap bulks But a beginner question for you: collecting sms games is cheap? As a frustrated vintage kenner star wars collector, I found this sms journey "affordable". Thanks.

It depends if you want to get a full set or not. To get a full set is very expensive these days because some games cost hundreds of dollars. If you want to build a collection with favourite games only, it´s way cheaper and definitely manageable.

I think I'm purchasing some games to display, and let's see what happens next I read that the PAL set consists of 111 games, but also that SMS has a 300 game catalog. Can anybody tell me if the difference are different games or just variations? Thank you.

Hi there, TrekMD. Also spanish? Guys, an update, now I have 12 games (some cheap bulks from ebay). Have to stop purchasing for some weeks to come, but happy I started the collection. Where do you guys display yours??? I'm moving to a new home, and as I'm 33 now I was wondering where I should display the games (or hide )

Welcome Miguel! We used to have some other Spanish members here but they have not been active for some time. There are 269 European titles for the Master System, prices have steadily increased over the last few years but it is still a relatively affordable system to collect for.

Welcome! The games are great fun and a joy to collect. I find it difficult to find some in my area (Texas). I do hope to complete a set of US and overseas titles at some point. The goals are high, but I'm in it for the long haul.
