Could anyone tell me what the "Sel" button , "St" button, A switch and B switch do on the Handle Controller?

Thanks gallos. The Start and Select buttons are completely pointless then.

Ed, if you enjoy pressing those buttons, no one can say they're pointless.

The Handle Controller is designed to work on the Mega Drive /Genesis too.
Start Button starts and pauses the game.
Select or 'Sel' works as the 'A' Button on the MD/Genesis. B & C are obviously on the left and right on the wheel which are 1 & 2 on the MS Pad
I'm playing Outrun on the Mega Drive now...
It works better than the MS Version as the buttons control the accelerator and low/high gear.
You don't have to push up and down on the yolk to select gears.
It works quite well surprisingly. Get a Quickshot Footpedals too for that arcade experience lol

It may be compatible with the Mega Drive, but I doubt is designed to work on it. I think Start & Select buttons are left-overs from the original Hori version that was made for the Famicom console.

So with that thinking would a NES pad work on a Mega Drive Genesis if you put a sega connector on the end and rewired it?
That makes sense with the names of the buttons for the NES/FAMICOM , ok it still works on the MD.
They could have packaged it up in Black and sold as a MD accessory, but it is a bit crap and wouldn't have fit in with the image I guess so maybe not.
The buttons do have a purpose well not on the MS...but still
