Tried this on my atgames genesis console, it starts the loading screen but once start is pressed nothing happens Sorry to hear that. Well, It works on a real genesis (I'll post a video soon). The atgames genesis uses emulation, so perhaps the emulation isn't accurate ? I can't do much about that. If I had an atgames genesis I could try to make some adjusments but I don't.

Hello everyone ! New additions for today : - Psycho Fox can now transform ! - new arena (Wonderboy in MonsterLand) - option page and credit page - life bars How to transform : - B+left : Fox - B+right : Tiger - B+up : Monkey - B+down : Hippo I'm not sure Psycho Fox will be able to transform at will in the final version (I think I'll add power-ups for that). Download link still the same : david.bonafonte.free.fr/SMSBrawl/SMSBrawl.bin

Congrats, very good progress and great idea for the transformation of Psycho Fox. I think you definitely must include transformation in the final version as a power-up. Keep up the good work!

Since I can't add everyone, I need to make choices, so I've decided that in the first time I'll focus first on Sega exclusive characters with smaller sprites. So no Mickey, Donald, Asterix or guys from Double Dragon. Bigger characters like the heroes from Altered Beast or Golden Axe need multiple sprites and much more work to add. Besides, I'm not sure how they'll work with smaller characters gameplay wise. So I've not yet decided on these. I've not yet decided too to bring in the different attires (the Shinobi world Alex would be great though !). I'd also like to add a couple of iconic enemies but I'm not sure who... Other characters I'm pretty sure I'll add : - Sonic - JJ from Zillion - Joe Musashi - a couple of surprises, I won't say more at this point yeah, that's understandable...I wasn't counting on any disney characters to make the cut but a few points... different attires would be good so you can distinguish exactly who is p1 and p2 if they're going to use the same character now for original sega characters especially around that era the choices are a little bit slim.. I just looked through my games list to see if anyone really stands out and I was drawing a blank until I came across Dynamite Dux! if you need to use smaller sprites then I think he would be perfect for this game! or maybe the guy from Aztec Adventure? maybe Black Belt? I think you should add in bigger characters to give the game some more variety like Hayato from Kenseiden or the hero from Master of Darkness and if you're gonna use Joe Musashi then I think you might as well.. if you're worried about the game being unbalanced with bigger characters having an advantage over the smaller ones, take a look at how unbalanced it already is when you play against Opa-Opa! lol anyways, how many characters do you plan on using?

To distinguish P1 and P2 so far I'm using a color palette switch. A different attire means different sprites and probably different gameplay, so I prefer to simply consider it as another character. Dynamite Dux is on my list. The problem is I can't find anywhere the sprites sheets from the game. I don't intend to rip the sprites myself, so if anyone knows where to find them, It'll be very helpful, thanks. I'll think again for the larger sprites when I'm done with the smaller ones. You seem to be a fan of Kenseiden so I'll see if Hayato will fit into the game, but don't get your hopes up Overall I've planned rougly 12 to 16 characters. So far I've got 6, and I'm currently working on Joe Musashi.

This might be way out of the scope of your design, but what about if each player selects two characters to begin with... the first character being a small one, and when that one is defeated, they respawn as their large character. So to win the match each player has to defeat their opponent's two characters.
