I was looking into somewhere but they closed at 5pm on saturday and it was a room above a hairdressers and sunbed place (have known the owner about 20 years) would have been about £10 a head
Wonder if a meeting room in a hotel could work or a community centre round here? I live about 10 miles out from manc city centre

I've been to Retro Game Base a few times and know the guys there a little bit, so I could possible wangle a discount. Even then though, I imagine it would be way too costly.
Manchester is a cheaper area and is accessible for everyone. I'll have a look around at room hire and post what I find. And unless anyone has access to a free venue, it's looking likely that we'll have to pay out. Any philanthropists among us?
We really did have it good with the Lass!

In theory, people from further afar (i.e. Europe) are more likely to come to something in London as it's more connected and they're more likely to fancy a visit anyway. (Not to say that Manchester doesn't have an airport and isn't high on everyone's lists too.) But the price is going to be higher, and convincing the more northerly people to trek for hours to a city they hate is tough too...

Well the rule is, it has to be defended at least once a month on a random game
