Hi, just wondered if anyone knows if the SG3000 cards run on the sms 1 or megadrive powerbase converter? From what I can tell the cards are the same size and region free?
Any assistance on this would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,

They won't work on a Western Master System without modification, as the cards don't have the correct header data in them, which western consoles BIOS require to boot a game. The Mega Drive doesn't have the SG1000/SC3000 video mode, so it can't play the games either - the same reason why F16 Fighter won't work on a Mega Drive. I think the Mark III cards may well work on a Mega Drive though, I can't remember for sure.

Mark III games run on a Megadrive with a Japanese Powerbase Converter.
SG-1000/SC-3000 games only on a SG-1000, SG-1000 II, Mark III or Japanese/Korean Master System.
You can in theory build a pinout adapter and modify the BIOS of your Master System, but its going through a lot of trouble. I can't tell of any gamer who did such mod.

Well any SMS1 can play the Japanese card games if you just put a Japanese BIOS in it, I've done it before.
