Digger Chan is here! ;D It’s been a long time coming, but finally Digger Chan has been put on cartridge and is available to buy. For those who aren’t aware of the game, it was initially released by Aypok for the SMSpower coding competition way back in 2006. Over a good few years of continued development when the spare time has been available to do it, the game has seen much advancement over that original release. There’s a little website for the game with some more details on it, and a video of the game in action: www.diggerchan.co.ukThey are £20 each Postage prices are: UK First Class recorded - £4.10 European Airmail - £4.95 Worldwide Airmail - £7.20 Please send me a PM if you are interested in purchasing. UPDATE: Unfortunately for reasons as yet unknown, the game is not Mega Drive/Genesis compatible. Apologies for any inconvenience this has caused. UPDATE 2: The initial run of 25 has been spoken for. Please be patient if you are waiting for reply from me, as I am busy sorting out more copies of the game. UPDATE 3: The second run of 25 has sold through. I'm doing smaller batches from now on.

I've tried it a few months ago, it's really a great game! Congrats for the artwork!
Why there's a second manual "Usage and Pre..." ?

The ROM that's online is the original competition entry. The game has had many improvements since that release, some of which are listed on its website.
The Usage and Precautions manual has all the epilepsy warnings, cartridge handling information, some details on playing in 50Hz and 60Hz etc. I wanted to keep all that separate from the main game manual.

Out of interest, what's the game that was released in 1998? Something in Brazil? I only know of stuff in 1997. When you say "built using all new components", does that mean you got cartridge boards, shells and the box manufactured? Or does it only mean the components inside the cartridge are new?

The 1998 game was "Mickey´s Ultimate Challenge". I will now pretend that I knew this by myself, and that it has not been playgen who told me yesterday. Anyway, I want to say it again in public: Great work from you two, finally getting a new SMS cart released. It was so unfair that many other retro systems got new releases (Atari systems get loads of them every year!) and the SMS got no love. Until now! Now let´s hope it was not the last one!

There are no used parts involved, everything is new. I forgot to mention this previously - The text for the box insert, manual and game itself are all only in English. There's not much text in the game, so you don't by any means need to be fluent in English to play it. And apologies for anyone waiting on a reply to their PM, I will reply soon!

Great job play. I hope to pick one up myself after I see how much the first of my IV treatments cost... This deserves some sort of mention on the main site linking to here, if you don't mind. Let me know!

Just paid for mine - looking forward to this, I love the principle of a newly developed physical release for the SMS - long may it continue!
