Hey guys. It's been a while but I have new awesome cheat for you.
And it's so easy too! Can't believe I never found it before.

Test mode
At the title screen where it says 'Press Start Button', press Up, Right, Down, Left, Up, Right, Down, Left. Alternatively you can rotate the d-pad in a clockwise motion. This will open up a test menu which includes, stage select, sound test and more.
