Hi. I'm British Gaijin, or rather, Matt. I've been devoted to Sega for most of my childhood. I am a major video game fan and the forum I help run can be found at *cough* [plug]s1.zetaboards.com/10exp[/plug]*cough*
I only ever had a Sega Megadrive and a Sega CD until the Dreamcast came out. So I missed a large amount of Sega history. Recently I got hold of a Sega Saturn and love it to bits, but I'm buying a Sega Master System soon.
And these consoles looking bloody amazing. The games are so simple, theres no similarity between them - they all have their own gimmicks, their own styles. Uncopied, completely new and fresh.
I'm glad I have been told of this community, one that will be able to answer all my questions on this console and this era of Sega so I kno wwhat to expect when I fire up the SMS.
I cannot wait to become good friends with you all and appreciate what the Sega Master System has to offer.
And a newbie question, will an SMS run SG games too?

Welcome to the site
A Western SMS wont play SG1000 games, for one thing the carts are totally different both in physical size and the pin layout.

Good to see new people here.
And even if you stripped the cart to fit in the slot it wouldn't work because start up data that western sms1's require isn't there. However they should work in jap mark 3's and jap sms's if i am not mistaken.

welcome to the forum. I like that you describe the SMS games as 'fresh'
