When I'd get stuck in a game...I would call 1-800-USA-SEGA...they were cool to work with and they would send you free code sheets in the mail for any game. You could imagine how cool I thought I was being a 10 yr. old boy calling this thing! They were always so nice to me on the phone too. I should have worked for Sega! Any of you guys try this?

Yes I to have used back in the late 80's and they were more than happy to help out and send you all kinds of paper work with cheat codes and little hidding goodies in the games. Plus when they found out I was calling from Canada, there was now way of they would let me off the line. They even sent me a SEGA towel 3 feet by 6 feet, white in colour with the SEGA logo in blue. Still have it today, Oh yaaaaa. ( Little fadded!!)

I have two personal experiences with this number.
Once I was seriously stuck on Alex Kidd Hi Tech World. I called the number and there was a person willing to talk to me for about 20 min about how to get past my difficulty. This exemplifies several qualities that are just not found in today's gaming system companies. Face to face conversation (no answering machine), kindness, and the fact that they did this for free. Sega exemplified every single charactersitic of a true customer-oriented company willing to go out of it's way to help out the consumer.
My second story about this number relates to my glory days of prank phone calling. I called and simply asked how I could "get my buttons to work" and "fix the photons" (obviously way to vague). After several minutes of trying to help me, the woman on the other end finally gave up on me, but boy did I have a good laugh.
Happy gaming, StarMan
