I saw one today in a shop but am not sure if it's for a sega. I could only see buttons A & B on it, it might even be for a PC, but if I had a pic of the Sega versions I would know. It did have a small plastic cap on the top which you could flick off to reveal more buttons.

I think I know what he's talking about, the Quickshot flight thingie. Pretty sure they made one for the MD, but not the MS.

No it wasn't the Avaitor, I'm 100% sure there's another version for the MD, which looks like a flight stick and not a weird yolk.
I've seen pics in mags but can't be bothered to go through all my back issues to find it......ah well
