Just wondering how rare the re-designed light phaser with the orange tip is..it was only issued in the U.S.?

It was only released in the US, and late on when master system was on its last legs there, so its far less common than the oridnary one, not particualry more valuable though. It was a re-design to make it look less like a real gun, Sega didnt want kids getting shot by cops with poor eyesight, the gun was also re-issued in brazil as an all blue colour.

Ive been looking for one for the last few weeks, I would like a boxed oine but have not yet seen one did they do a boxed one with a diffrent box depicting the orange tip?

As far as I know, no. I think Sega of America eventually stopped selling separate phasers because they were packaged with most systems. However, the SMS II may have caused something to happen...
