Has anyone seen or heard of this thing? Some sort of chair that you can play your games with? What?

Yeah, one of the guys on DP used to have one - it's for the Mega Drive/Genesis. It's a padded chair with extended arms that have buttons on the end and a micro-switched base to steer with - works best with driving & flight sims.

That's hilarious. Wonder if you could hook one of those beasts up to a Master System. Be a spiderpig to ship though.

I remember seeing ads for those in magazines back in the day. From what I can remember they were pushing the £100 mark when they first came out.

I saw one in Comet years ago, ugly black plastic chair, looked pretty cheap and nasty to me.
I'm sure it would work on a MS or even a Atari 2600. Imagine playing Breakout with it..........
