Even though i can play sg1000 cards and carts on my japanese master system, i still like the idea of getting a SG1000 console. Does anyone else have one? and if so how much did you pay for it?. I check fairly often on ebay, but i have yet to see one. And am i right in thinking the only real technical difference between a sg1000 and master system/markIII is the the latter can display more colours?

SG-1000/SC-3000 plays old games with original colors, better looking than on Mark III and Master System, so it's worth getting one. However keep in mind that it may be difficult to plug it in your country. Personnally I cannot get proper video from SG-1000-II. I'm using a french modified SC-3000 outputting RGB.

I get a pretty good picture out of my SG-1000 mark 1 by using a standard SMS R/F switch and tuning to channel 8. There's a bit of interference, but it's good enough in my opinion. (I'm in the US, BTW)

As another piece of info, though I don't have my Mark III anymore or my Famicom, they work just fine for US users on certain channels with not apparent problems, so the same should be assumed for these systems.

You should switch to RGB as soon as possible, guys. R/F is so awful. This is where SC-3000 is better than SG-1000 because you can get RGB out of it.
