The forum is almost unusable for me this last couple of days. Everything I click on says there are too many connections to the server. If I write a post I have to copy it becasue when I send it I get the too many connections error then my messsage dissapears Is the forum backed up? Has this happend befor? Will pro boards sort it or is it just likely to get worse? Does everyone else get the issue? I know people in England do.

If I write a post I have to copy it becasue when I send it I get the too many connections error then my messsage dissapears :( That doesn't happen if you use a real web browser. :P I doubt it. :/ I remember seeing the option to backup the data on another ProBoards forum, but I'm pretty sure you have to pay for it... It wouldn't be too hard to write a script that goes through the whole of the forum, saves all the pages (and images), parses them to get split the data into useful sections (subject, body, poster, date, etc) - then store it in some useful format for archiving (EG; XML. Yeah, I hate XML too, but it would work). It could then be imported into another database, such as PHPBB2 *spit*, PunBB *yay*, or whatever else is useful. Does everyone else get the issue? I know people in England do. Ja, I do. But you already knew that. :)

Daft thing is when it says theres too many connections to the site, theres usually hardly anyone on here. There are dozens (possibly hundreds) of ProBoards forums on each server - so this forum is alongside many other forums which may be quite busy. It looks like they're putting too many forums on this server... Or that our neighbouring forums have suddenly gotten a load more traffic. Yet another reason why hosting your own forums is a good solution. :)

Doesn't happen that often for me. Its a problem the forum has always had every now and then, but it never really lasts long.

The last days I'm having some issues...
1. When I'm receiving a pm I click on reply and it doesn't automatically fill as Subject e.g. "Re: ...subject...". It just leaves it blank... I have to go back and click again on reply to finally fill the "Re: ...subject...".
2. Profiles of some members show wrong last login date e.g. 2 years ago, but it's a regular member and send me a pm yesterday. It doesn't happen always, only sometimes...
Does anybody have the same issues or any similar..? They aren't important but why not be fixed if it's easy. I'm sure didn't have these issues in the past.

I haven't had any of these problems. I think there was one time that there were too many connections. Back on that day when the Dinobasher prototype was discovered. Don't forget, we don't run the code for these boards, so make sure you address any issues with Proboards so they can check it out.

I've noticed this problem too - a member posted a message here yesterday but just now it shows their last login date as Aug 23rd, 2009...
