While I'm waiting for Andy's go ahead to revamp the accessory part using the code that makes what you see in the 'rare items' section possible, I'm going to rework that section. Essentially, it's going to be what you see before you, but we're going to add more. Therefore, I need opinions here on what are 'rare' Master System items other than games unless, as you see there, there is a particular packaging for a certain type of game or country that marks it as of particular interest. As I add stuff on this list I'll delete it.

If you want to stick up a few pictures of a proto cart then i have some decents pictures i could send over I know its just a game but having them in the rare items section could be a good idea! Im pretty sure that many of them are still in circulation in the hands of people who dont really know what they are

The pre-release "salesman" games should probably be in the rare section. I've got scans of the Fantasy Zone one on my website, and Bock has a Ghost House card in the same style.

Yeah, those would be great. PM me for my email so you can send me them. I'll make a list up there as well to keep track of everything. In terms of games, should we include stuff like Great Ice Hockey Mark III due to its status of being a contest or mail prize or whatever it was? I say only games like that, keeping the rest for mention as variations in the database.

What does everyone think of the entry Andy put there with the 3D games and glasses? I wouldn't exactly call that worthy of a rare item section. Also, if anyone can help, this is the code I tried to use for putting up my first entry, but for some reason the pictures won't load or appear properly even though the code seems fine to me. I changed the source for the images and made it the regular database, so that might be the problem.
<table width="95%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" align="center" background="images/square.gif"> <tr> <td colspan="3"> <div align="left"><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" size="3"><b><a name="ddgiftset"></a>Asterix and the Great Rescue Gift Set</b></font></div> </td> </tr> <tr bgcolor="#000000" valign="middle"> <td colspan="3" height="166"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="3" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="54%"><a href="javascript:ViewImage('./images/db/asterixgift.jpg',640,480,'Asterix and the Great Rescue Gift Set')"><img src="images/db/small_asterixgift.jpg" width="256" height="192" alt="Click for larger view" border="0"></a></td> <td width="46%" valign="top"> <font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Contributor : Onyx</font><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><br> Rarity rating : Unknown</font><font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><br> Estimated Value: Unknown<br> <br> This item has thus far been a complete mystery and only recently was a fellow member able to locate a picture from a magazine displaying it. Thus far, nothing has been located and it may be doubtful any still exist in sealed form. The gift set for this particular Asterix game was released in Spain and consisted of Asterix and the Great Rescue as well as a VHS tape of an Asterix episode, sealed on a special backing. Due to the fact that the set did not come in a box as we see with the Lucky Dime Caper, if any ever appear in complete form or at least with all the pieces shown in the image, it's likely it will bring a large amount of money. </font></td> </tr> </table> </td> </tr> </table> <br>

unsure about the code but if it was me writing it i'd leave out the 'large amount of money' part, it's not really needed.
Boxed 3D glasses arnt really rare, even in excellent condition they seem to pop up quite offten (once or twice per month), the boxed pads arent overly rare either, somtimes hiddn away abit on ebay though. The boxed handle controler is very rare IMO, cant recall seeing one on ebay in the time ive been collecting.
UK action replay carts seem rarer then German ones allthough I only know of 2 in the card box so far, guess they could all go on together as 'uncommon'. Blisters aswell are just 'uncommon'.

Well do you want the section to be rarer items you can find and buy, or really rare items your unlikey to get unless you search constantly for a year(s)

i kinda like the setup with saying uncommon, rare, very rare etc. perhaps a seperate page for items that are ultra rare, i.e. the black and white light phaser box bock has and the red hang on card sega aus has..

Stan baby...the pictures on the actual site seem to live in "./images/treasure/picture_sexy_xxx.jpg" with the larger image in "./images/treasure/largeimages/picture_sexy_xxx.jpg". Maybe you should stick your pictures in that folder and see how it works. Other than that it looks like the entries already on the site.

Yeah, that's what I thought, I switched the code to make it easier for me but I may have to go with that instead.

Oh, and those Taiwanese Aaronix Mark III carts that Bock posted at SMS Power a few weeks ago have got to be worth a mention

All right then, we'll put that stuff up, PM me for my address so we can get nice pictures up there. Ian picked up on the code problem, stupid me had it all right but uploaded the smaller picture as small_asterixgift instead of small_asterix, as I had originally saved it. I added Smurfs 2 and Mahjong up there, considering their rarity, what about some Mark III stuff? Would you guys consider something like Alex BMX rare? I've only seen one complete once and I own it, so what about games like that? Woody Pop?
