Oh okay, I had it up there because it was suggested whenever it appeared, but if it's really common I'll remove it. So is it, let's say, simply a rarer game like T2 but not as rare as something like the Air Rescue variant? I guess you're right, I used unique not in the sense of 'only one in the world', but in the sense of really really rare. That's an easy fix, thanks for the tips!

Il Re Leone is certainly a very uncommon game, but I've seen more copies of it in the last 12 months than, for example, Buggy Run.

Yeah, good point, and what I think I'll do is instead use the picture and make the listing more general, calling it 'foreign variants' or something like that, since though not all of them are rare, certain games are harder to find in Italian form, German form, whatever, and can fetch higher prices. That way instead of a specific game, which there really isn't a really rare foreign variant that anyone knows about, I can draw attention to foreign variants in general. That should work just fine.

Sonic Blast is the Tec Toy exclusive, not Sonic Chaos!

Sorry, thanks for noticing! From what I've been told, Jogos is quite difficult to find, at least totally complete. Lots of Tec Toy games are, but there was talk about this one a few months ago, so I took note of it and someone gave me a picture. Working on the Brazilian rarity list, digging around auctions and such, I've found that a number of games that are generally common elsewhere are quite difficult to find in Brazil. Tec Toy versions of certain games are way more difficult to find, whereas rarer titles, like Cheese Cat-As-Trophe, are easier.
Edit: Alright fixed that stuff. If anyone can help verify or destroy this 'Jogos Olympicos is rare' theory, please post away.
Edit Part Deux: Alright, did some searching around myself and Jogos Olimpicos is as common as piss. Taking that one off. Next time someone swears something is rare I'm going to wait a few months and check auctions to see just how often it appears. There are like 3 complete copies on Mercado right now.

The Store Cabinet (Europe) cannot be described as unique because I own this cab (lot of pictures are available here) and bock also.

There are like 3 complete copies on Mercado right now. ...something that hasn't happened in like 3 or 4 years. There have been a few copies around the last 2 or 3 months, maybe; one of those weird SMS-collecting market behaviors.

Yeah, well, regardless, it's clear it's not as rare as originally suggested, just like the Italian Lion King.

REVISION: "If anything comes close to being the rarest SMS game, it's this. First discovered in 2000 by Mikko, Les Schtroumpfs Autour Du Monde (The Smurfs Travel the World, more commonly known as Smurfs 2) is the holy grail of the SMS collecting community. This game was the last European release in 1996, and in limited quantities. Most complete copies, which also come with the Game Gear version's poster, go for about 200 - 350 pounds ($284 - $497). So far, around 30 copies have surfaced, most from the Czech Republic. If you find one, prepare to get rid of a few limbs."

I think the rare items section needs an overhaul. For example quite a few listed as 'unique' (meaning there is only 1) we already know of more than one.. Just for example Red Hang On card and Moonwalker game/ VHS blister. These should be re-graded as ultra rare perhaps? The others like Chinese systems and Sales rep case should be changed to 'Unknown' and maybe mention in the wording only 1 is known of so far. I actually don't think any should say 'unique' unless there is some proof that only 1 was ever made. Some of the others need changing too, for example how is it that Tec Toy Exclusives, Telstar Double Packs and SMS II version of sonic 2 are all classified as the same rarity? I would class TecToy exclusives as uncommon or at a push rare. The other two are very rare with only a hand full of each being known to surface (to this forums knowledge at least). The term scarce is used a few times but this is another word for rare so I think that should be changed. I think the order should go something like this... Uncommon (maybe even consider getting rid of all these as they aren't rare anyway??) Rare (some currently listed as scarce should either be rare or uncommon) Very Rare (used for if we are aware of more than 3 in existence but less than maybe 10) Ultra Rare (if we are aware of more than 1 but only about 3 have surfaced. a mixture of Unique and unknown should be re-classified if we know more than one exists) Unknown (just used when we only know of one that has turned up so far, this should be stated in the text) If someone is happy to make changes based on my opinion i'm happy to go through with a fine tooth comb. I even think it would be good if each item could be expanded (link to individual pages) to give more detail perhaps showing more photos and details of when and where some of the ultra rare items surfaced. Or if you disagree with my opinion please discuss more
