He's just being honest - I don't think they look good at all either at the moment, and it's going to look even worse if you change all the other icons similarly. Whose face is on the reply button?, I cant tell. And you really should stop using that font, it doesn't look good in a small pixel height.

If you are accessing it from Work or College it may have some restrictions. I cannot see them from work just when at home (i'm actually glad about this though ) i'l say it again.. knock it on the head and keep things the way thay were

Bummer, I just got a new program too. The reply icon was actually done by Ian, one of the guys from Pro Wrestling. And of course, if I were to fix things, the fonts will match in size and such. Perhaps a different font? I know he was being honest about the look, I was talking about his random tirades about having Sinistral eliminate me or whatever.

I've returned send to normal. If anyone wants to know what it was, it was Alex on his bike from BMX Trial. The reply icon was done by Ian, I'm leaving it there to see if anyone else has problems or to get a general consensus of what people think about this idea. Keep in mind they will all be uniform and the font can be changed. The Sega one just seemed the most likely to use.

Jeez man, it was just a test to see if the idea of it worked, I don't care about the look of it right now, that can be fixed. A few people thought it was a good idea so we were trying it out. I don't get you sometimes, you really go off on occasion. Stan dont take it as a personal attack, its not you as a person but its you as a mod Why go changing stuff like icons when they are not for you to change? You might think tacky little icons are a good thing but they will just make the place look cluttered and cheap, leave it how it was and next time you start messing with shitz get a second opinion Icons like that are something id expect myself to do or a 12 year old kid Honestly i learnt to leave stuff like that alone a long time ago, fair enough if you want to advance yourself but do it on your own space. Sign up and get your own forum from proboards and practice on that? Im not saying get your own forum but just to sign up to one that you can work on and make look like this and then try any new ideas on that first as a tester Sorry if you took offence stan but it really gets on my nerves when you start changing stuff like you own the place

Seen the icons on the smspower forum? - thats how they should be done. But I stand by the point that the standard icons are fine, their nice and small and perfectly readable, who wants a screen full of garish icons anyway, its the actual posts we come to look at.

I didn't just start changing stuff and you'd know that if you actually read this entire thread, this is an idea we've been kicking around for awhile, and in case you didn't notice Ian was helping me with it. I didn't just say hey I'm going to do this now, read the damn thing. I want to see what more people think first, the current opinion is split, so I'm leaving Ian's work there to see what else he's come up with when he gets the chance. I'm thinking of changing the font, that would make the most sense.

Well actually if you read the thread the idea people were actually interested in to begin with was having an icon for different post counts somewhere, not changing all the forum icons.
And its not a split opinion over the icons youve done, Krooper said it looked "quite cool" and everyone else has said they look bad. Lots of people have been too polite to say anything bad about them I think, the fact nobody has actually said they really liked them should tell you something.

yeah, I still think the idea of having icons for post counts is a good one. It isnt intrusive and could be quite fun voting for the ones we want to use. We could all submit some, a mini contest if you will.

Alright, we'll probably just stick with that then. When I said that, I was referring back to an older thread about this icon idea, but I can't seem to find it now, I think I deleted it when this one started. Anyway, no one seemed to really be against it at first, though play had stated that he was hoping any pictures would stay small and simple. The only thing is, I don't think this board has the capabilities to have a little character added for post count because there isn't already a default picture there. The star thing could work, but there aren't that many of them so there wouldn't be as many pictures, maybe like four total.

I set the reply button back to default, looked a little odd. It wasn't very good to be honest, I just quickly knocked it up. I'm going to see if I can come up with something better and you guys can tell us what you think.

I'll see if I can find what font is used for the default icons Ian, should be easy enough to locate, that might help keep the old look while trying something new.
