Now it's hard to tell what it is. Damn it. I'll work on this more later. Let me know what you guys think. To make it clearer I need to increase the size, but that may make it too big. So how big is too big. I could make them all much larger, but it's going to be tough to add a little character to some of these without enlarging the entire image. I can also make the font whatever, I just figured the Sega thing worked the best.

Your going about this the wrong way - dont make an image then scale it down to fit, because that way you loose all the detail. Use a small font that fits in the required pixel height to begin with.

But how can I get the picture to remain clear?

What about right there like that? Play, let me know some skills, there is only so much I know now, but I can't seem to get it small enough without losing too much detail.

By drawing them the right size to begin with. You cant scale something down and expect to keep all the detail.
Choose the height in pixels you want the buttons to be, and draw them in that size to begin with.

But can I do that when I'm taking a screenshot? Like how could I take Bokoban no Papa's head there and keep it the right size without losing detail? That's the problem I'm having. I can do the text thing easy, but I'm getting the image from a screenshot. Looking at my program, I don't think it has the ability to set pixels, only resize.

You'll be better off drawing the icons from scratch rather than pulling them out of games and scaling them down to fit. And type the writing in the required pixel height staright away - dont type them up big and scale them as bitmaps as you get a blurry mess.
Whats wrong with the stadard buttons anyway? ive never heard anyone complain about them. Youd be better off putting your efforts into something else.

It was just an idea I had to spice up the forum a bit, thought it would be a good idea and people seemed to agree. It's going to be near impossible to do some of this though. I can easily redraw the image, but they'll be way too small then. The only option is to make them larger.

Theres a good reason why the buttons have simple plain fonts - they need to be small. Think about it, the "send topic to a friend" button is going to take up half the width of the screen on its own if you change it to the sega font and want to make it readable.

Man, I guess my dream has been shattered. Well, I can put some together myself by painting them. It will be time consuming, but I want this to look right if I can do it.

Well, I want to hear what everyone thinks. Yeah or neah? Perhaps just making the font Sega like and replacing the images with nothing? I know of a way I can get this more detailed, but perhaps bigger icons would look sweeeeeeet. Bash me away so I know what to do.

I say Neah. It was fine the way it was. If you want to spice things up, maybe changing the top banner to make it more spiffy and less "kiddy" looking.

I think it looks quite cool, but I can see Playgen's pont about the send topic to a friend, so if youy want to keep it uniformed you will need to think about it.

Well, I'll need to adjust font size and such, I just want to get an overall feel for what you guys think. The mail thing can be switched to simply 'send' and the idea would still be clear. Speaking of clear, I got the picture clearer, I think that's the best I can do without actually redrawing the images.
