... on the top 100 list!
My shocks that I thought would have been in there somewhere are zool and F1. Both excellent games that warrented a place in my opinion. Anyone else?

I can't believe games like Astro Warrior and Cyborg Hunter are on, they're totally crap. As for Space Harrier being above Road Rash, are you having a laugh?
Zool is crap and F1 is dull as dishwater.......

The list says otherwise, ergo: it's only your problem.

SaDistic you are funny ;D No Stan agreed with me on the F1 game, it is dull and Zool is a bit bland and boring. Loads more platform games on the MS which are far superior.

I just thought it was weird that games like Outrun, Battle Outrun & Road Rash were on the list, but F1 wasn't. Racing games are something I think you either love or hate - I love them, and F1 is infinately superior to any of those games no question. I personally don't particularly like zool, but back in the day I knew a lot of people who thought it was the best thing going! That's why I was surprised it wasn't in there voted in at least a couple of peoples top 20. Ah well!

F1 may be technically superior, but its just another F1 game and with that comes a lot of dull limitations. You cant shoot the other cars, if you crash the driver doesnt fly out of his seat for 50 meters, the settings are just plain tracks not beach side roads, the cars all look the same etc. F1 games like the sport itself are just boring after a short time.

Hmm, we'll have to agree to disagree on this one then (although around 90% of the mags of the day would disagree with you ). I love the sport - have done for nearly 20 years, to really get the sport you have to be pretty into the technical aspects of racing as opposed to just straight out overtaking and bunches of cars together (as in US indycar which is just dross), you have to be into pit-strategy, re-fueling, tyre strategy, qualifying etc. If it's non-stop action, though mainly luck rather than judgement, or if you're not an enthusiast then you'd probably not like Formula one, but to generalise and just say the sport is dull is pretty wrong - millions of people round the world would disagree with that. I reckon Cricket is dull as dishwater - but then a lot of people swear by it... It's pretty much the same story as above with the game when you compare it to the others in question! I prefer it because it is technically a lot better and you can actually use strategy as opposed to just racing and hitting people! Just my opinion mind......

How dare you have an opinion, you can get locked up for that on most forums.
I have my moments with F1, I can see why people like it and why others dislike it.

I used to love watching F1, but now i just cant be bothered with it, its just boring. And you'll find even people obssesed with cars and who work in the industry think its boring too. Its become all about the type of tyres rather than any exciting overtaking or anything. A big factor is the drivers themselves, they are just so dull its unbelieveable. All they ever talk about is hitting the apex bla bla bla, Kimi Rakkoinen (or however you spell his name) is the most boring man alive, i could fall asleep in seconds listening to him. Since the drivers have little personality, theres nobody your really hoping to win a race, which means your just watching the cars go around a track for hours. Races are only interesting when it rains and they have to use some skill to drive.
I dont think its "wrong" for me to think F1 is dull, its a lot more dull that it used to be, you cant really argue with that. Anyway i would rather be driving myself than watching someone else do it, so i get bored watching most motorsport. Although i reckon Rallying would be awesome if they actually raced against each other on the track at the same time, i was so dissapointed when i discovered they just took it in turns.

For me the Monaco GP is the only one I like, I like my racingskillful and with lots of crashes and no track gets them like Monaco does, other than that I do find F1 a tad tedious.

Are you talking about Super Monaco GP? I hate that game, even the second one is better. It has no feeling of speed and I always lose control and spin around. What a loads of crap!
World Grand Prix in my humble opinion is the best racing sim, as it keeps things simple and it has a track editor.
I also like GP Rider, but have you noticed when the announcer says begins "prepare to race", it sounds like something more sinister.....
