Well as you know I like to go for under rated games for my picks, the games I think don't get as much credit as they deserve. It was a tough choice this time around, there were a few contenders, but seeing as Codemasters are making all the headlines on here recently with the Dinobasher prototype Bock has discovered, I'm gonna go with one of there games. But which one I hear you all asking? Well Dizzy has been done. and its not Micro Machines (although that would be a great choice). Which leaves just 1 game remaining from the Codemasters holy trinity of SMS games; Cosmic Spacehead!I love this game so much. The story behind the game is simple. A little kid called Linus Spacehead lives on planet Linoelium, goes for a drive in his cosmic car and finds earth. He goes back home to tell everyone but no-one believes him. This is where the game starts. You have to find your way back to Earth, and this time take a few piccies to take home with you to prove to all your friends your not a liar. The game has 2 main elements to it, the bulk of which are the 'adventure' sections. In these you have to explore the different areas, find and use various objects in your basic puzzle solving/RPG kind of way. The other elements are the 'action' areas, which are really small little platform based sections connecting all the different areas. The controls on this game are a bit annoying at first, and do take a while to get used too. Instead of controlling little Cosmic you move an arrow around the screen. if you want Cosmic to move to say, the post office, you put the arrow on the post office, and click mover here and our little hero will run to the post office like an obedient little dog. To use objects you need to select a command from a menu, eg give, talk to, use, then select an object. Once you get used to the controls this game is pure genius. So much fun. But it does take a little while to get used to them. I think you need to give this game a good 30 - 45 minute play to really master the controls and really get into it. The graphics on the game are wicked, colourful and simple and they have a real retro feel to them (the game is supposedly based in the 50's). The music is good and really adds to the feel of the game. This game also has a password system which really adds to its playability, although the passwords seem to be ridiculously long and complicated Oh, you also get a little bonus mini game called pie slap, apparently its Cosmic's favourite game! Any hey, if Sega Pro give it 93%, it must be all good I know this game will not be everyone's cup of tea, but if anyone hasn't given this a proper play yet, now's your chance

Ok. I tried playing this game when I first got it, but it did my head in and I couldn't work it out (No instructions). But I'll give it a go.

It's a great little game, incredibly charming and fun. Only took me a couple of hours to complete it on my first try though, but every minute was great. Loved the humour and retro sci-fi style of art.

Never really played much of this one myself - think I had the same initial reaction as Tonto. Will endure 50Hz hell in the name of further investigation...

Doesn't play too bad on an NTSC SMS. Good game too. I like especially how after traveling through an action world to get to a destination, you don't have to do it again. So many games similar to this that I wish had that feature.

Man, haven't had enough time to play this. I'm going to try to give it a go tonight. Because of the kind of game it is, we'll keep it up for at least another week.

... been playing a bit of everything because i kept the codes from last year, and i must say that this one is a guilty pleasure, i mean, neither the graphics, sound and playability are extraordinary, but the game has that "it" factor that made me want to finish it ASAP!!

Lots of great variety in this game. I like these kind of "point and click" adventures. Lots of stuff to find and do. I wish it wasn't so buggy on an NTSC system, gives my eyes a headache!

yeah, i love those kind of games. I used to play a lot of Lucasarts adventure games like Indiana Jones, Monkey Island and Day of the Tentacle.
