This has always been a favourite of mine and I've always remembered it from my childhood. It's a good game with nice graphics but the control can be a bit frustrating at times. I remember it being way too hard when I was younger. You're friend isn't exaggerating too much saying he can complete it in 2 minutes. There is a warp on the very first level (hard to get to though) which takes you the way round 7-1. Good choice though, this game doesn't get the attention it deserves and in my opinion is a classic. I'll give it a go now ;D

I love playing this game so much!! When i moved up to law school last year i only had a crappy tv, so couldnt hook up dvd to it or anything, and it had no ariel so for about 3 weeks all i could do was play sms, and i must have played pyschofox about 3 hours a day!! the warp zones are good but i feel like im missing out on all the other cool levels!! I heard a rumor theres a warp zone on every level to somewhere, but im not sure if i believe that because if its true theres so many i cant find!
I love the desert level when the end of round board turns into the boss. nice touch. he reminds me a bit of garfield though!
So who is everyones favourite character?

This game is simply excellent. It was one of the first SMS games I picked up when I started collecting. I thought I was the faeces for a time because I knew it wasn't THAT easy to find. At any rate, it's very well put together. Anyone familiar with the NES game Kid Kool will feel right at home with this because they're essentially the same game, except that Psycho Fox is WAY better. The controls are more fluid, and with the option of switching characters and such it's much more interesting. Colors and graphics are great. I'd have to say my favorite character is the Tiger because he's so damn fast. I had fun jumping all over the place with him at full speed. Overall it's definitely one to own. The only problem I had with it is that it's a bit to easy. I sat down once for about 45 minutes and ran right through it. You generally can move along without too much worry of dying often. Other than that, get it.

Great game! I love this one. A direct relation to decapattack on the megadrive you know.
Topic pinned.

This game brought back memories,i love the music to the first level and it has great graphics too. Anybody else found the warp to 7-1 yet? It can be quite tricky to locate. The things which let this game down are infinite continues which make the game too easy especially continuing from the same stage in the level ,whats the point in all those extra lives if you have infinite continues? Also the bosses are way too easy and the most annoying part about the game for me is the acceleration of the characters, they start off running like a tortoise so it can be difficult to avoid giant mushrooms and other baddies jumping at you. A nice little platformer though with some good ideas and gameplay.

It's on level 1-1,basically head up the screen and keep going right, using the tiger is best as there is a big jump in which only the tiger can make it in one go.You come to a platform with 2 trees on which needs a big run and jump off the very edge to land on 3 bouncy platforms.Otherwise you have to land on a springy pole and get enough spring to reach the 3 bouncy platforms,go up and there are small platforms in which you can run across with a gap to jump then i think there's 3 more small platforms, get to the end of them.Do a small jump down towards a cloud that is just visible at the bottom of the screen, aim for that and you'll land safely on a big floating platform with a lake in the middle (could be a good fishing spot) get the egg then run across the lake and quickly avoid the hedgehog type baddy waiting on the other side. There's a platform on the right, jump up to that then walk to the edge on the right hand side and throw birdfly a couple of times, jump through the warp and go down the slope slowly and press down at the first warp pipe (mario bros. style). The one further along puts you to level 2-1 or 3-1,i can't remember. Shame this game hasn't got more hidden worlds and secrets, there is a warp on 1-3 near the end of the level up a line of bouncy platforms at the very top right but it only takes you to level 5-1.

This is exactly the kind of thing I was hoping for from GotW - it's a game that I hadn't spent a lot of time with previously, and it took a couple of days to be able to get anywhere without dying dozens of stupid deaths, but once things clicked it was a very pleasant surprise to find a fairly deep & inventive platformer in there As Sim said, the main problems I've found are the infinite continues and the inertia when you start moving. I haven't had a lot of time to play it this week, so I've only seen as far as level 4-3, but it's definitley another one to go back to.

mybe it´s because i only played the game 2 months ago for the first time, but i think the game is a good one, but that there are at least 10 better SMS plantform games. I like it but don´t love it!!
