Like the built in maze game As long as we don't do Tectoy, save them for a few years time when we've covered all the others. The rules should be no common as muck games and no very rare games incase some of us don't have it. e.g smurfs 2.

anagrama- i've got a much better 16-bit version of smurfs 2 if you want to swap, just think better sound, better graphics and rock solid gameplay that puts you off in no time at all.

Finally i've finished it and what a pleasure it's been,I love the dungeons they are similar to Zelda. This game has great music, good simple but effective graphics and very addictive gameplay as well as a good few hours gaming in there. On the downside if you get lost on this game you can spend hours wandering aimlessly and you don't get much help from villagers with clues on where to go next, and there isn't much interaction with them, they say one pointless sentence and that's it. Another thing that annoys me is when you walk into a cave and get threatened by an old man to pay him money before leaving,i mean you're a great big barbarian built like a brick sh it house with an axe in one hand that can chop a tree down in one easy swoop,i find that silly,i'd much rather walk up to them and take their head off and then steal money from them. I was also disappointed at Tyris Flare close up,what a minger i was really looking forward to meeting her aswell.I find some items in the game rather pointless like buying extra keys and them feathers, and whats that hot air balloon for? Overall though an amazing game and one of the best on the ms.

Anybody know what that hot air balloon thing is for in Golden axe warrior and how to use it? Also anybody know how to fix armour if it starts to rust in Golden axe warrior?

You have to use the oil to fix the armor, though I just go the plate mail so I haven't had a chance yet. I was using the old armor for quite awhile and never had to use the oil, so I don't know when it happens. Does anyone know if the thunder magic can be upgraded at the same location where you first receive it? I just upgraded my earth magic, but I don't feel like going back down to find the thunder place if it doesn't even matter.

Yeah, I actually just found the thunder upgrade. And, the oil is used to fix the armor for one purpose. When you get hit by those bugs in the labyrinths, they cause your armor to rust because they're rust monsters. Clever.

I wondered what that oil was for, damn it!! If i got hit by one of them i reset the game because i didn't know what to do.Cheers for that stan. Have you got the instructions? Does it mention anything about that hot air balloon? You can upgrade all magics except for the water magic, and i don't know if you noticed but when you go back to talk to the dwarf,ax-battler,Tyris or Linda they refill your magic to the max.

Stan - What do you reckon to the game? One of the best sms games for me,not quite as good as Link's awakening and A Link to the past, but still amazing.

The balloon is generally worthless and I really wish they did something different with it. All it does is you put it in your inventory and use it, it will show you a "map" of the entire world which amounts to nothing more than a bunch of puke thrown together. It would have been awesome if you could have used it to go where you wanted. I think it's an awesome game, I had few problems with it. The main one was that sometimes you had to get too close to hit an enemy (especially with the axes) and normally get hit easily. It wasn't that big of a deal, however, I found that you could enter a room and not go any further, just sit in the doorway and swing, and destroy any boss you came across. The one in the ninth labyrinth would have been tough, but his boomerang couldn't enter the door and neither could he so I just sat there and laid on him. They should have had the door shut when you went in a boss room. The bosses were too easy, though I have yet to play Death Adder (that's today).

When that map comes up for me there's a cross on an island in the middle of the sea, however there's a saved game on my cart (not mine) and the map on that one the cross isn't there so i'm wondering what he's done to get rid of the cross. There must be more to it than just a very shoddy looking map. I've got bad news for you,to kill Death adder you must..........yep that's right, just stand in the doorway. You can have fun however by finding the Golden axe then don't kill Death adder but leave the dungeon and let the enemies feel the power of the axe,if you complete the game it doesn't save,so do a save when you get the axe.

Damn door trick. That's sad. Oh well, I'll try not to do it, but I'll be tempted to. Isn't that "cross" in the middle the location of Death Adder's castle?
