I hate that level, I get the shakes when I get on it! I know I'm going to die, doesn't look hard but I usually waste all my lives on the vines and have to start from the beginning!

After I practised that level I actually found it pretty easy. It's the level with the rolling log which usually utterly destroys me.

I found the key to the swamp level was to stick in the arcade stick, and for some reason it always makes it easier.

Yeah the control stick does work. It's the precise movement you need with such a firm stick, with a pad it's easy to hit the diagonal a bit.....
