Just to join in on the music-thread-frenzy Anyone here collect records/cds aswell as games? I've been an on/off record collector for about 9 or 10 years, though these days it's taken a back seat to videogames. Naturally, I still buy stuff to listen to but I'm not scouring small ad's in Record Collector for obscure German pressings and stuff Amongst other things I've got something like 40-50 Sonic Youth LPs and 12"s from around the world, original pressings of almost every Bowie album from 1969-1983, almost everything Mogwai have ever breathed on and loads of other bits & bobs. I sold a White Stripes 7" just before Xmas when I was skint - I paid £5 for it 2 years earlier, and got £200 on eBay So, anyone else slightly obsessive-compulsive in this regard aswell?

I've got enough records, but I couldn't really call myself a collector. If you post some rarities you'd be willing to sell though, I'll take a look. Have you got an original Factory print of 'Unknown Pleasures'? I wouldn't mind shelling out for that.

Nah, I'm not really looking to sell, just slowed down my buying a bit. I think my copy of 'Unknown Pleasures' is the Italian one on Factory/Base Records. Not sure why, since I bought it over here.
One thing I'm looking to buy when I have some money is an original peelable Velvet Underground & Nico - I was just sniped on one a while back at about $150, but haven't had any spare cash since then.

I have tons of CDs, everything from Noise groups to Gangsta rap. My vinyl collection is pretty big too, but I only buy classical on vinyl. If I see something cool, like Kraftwerk the other day, I pick it up, but I don't look for more than classical usually.

no offence ApolloBoy, I know you're young but that's one fucking weak-arse record collection you've got there kidder. Michael Jackson's is not the only Bad one in there - Devo apart (being pedantic, it's "Q: Are We Not Men?"). Well Done ;D
