I guess this is kind of boring for this site, but I thought I would post this here since it's a pretty widespread site. If anyone ever wants to know about this disease, check out our webiste at www.cebv.org. We've only just started work, so it's very basic now, in fact nothing is really there yet. It will be more complete in a few months. SMS.com has helped me through it, but, anyway, you never know who has it, it's almost always misdiagnosed. If anyone ever finds themself suddenly depressed or anxious or extremely tired, get tested, it's really not a disease to mess with.

the worst thing with this disease is how some poeple can have it but wont shout out for help but then someone wont have it and will shout out so they can use it as an excuse not to work and claim dole money ect
it sucks for the ill poeple out there suffering as at one stage its them who wont be believed
but ive always thought its lousy to call it a disease as it is not a disease ,its just a dose of mental illness
(im no doctor ,its just what i think but ive not been there or maybe i have but i just dont know it ?)
i guess everyone goe's there some how ,the real illness is just how you hadle it yourself

Well, there is basic depression, and then there is this. This is different, trust me. It's really a harsh thing. Basically, because the virus is so hard for your body to fight, your immune system works in overdrive like 24/7. Eventually, your adrenal glands start to go nuts and different chemical levels begin to drop, thus the depression, anxiety, and a ton of other possibilities. The disease is not simply mental problems, there are physical signs as well. Depression sometimes has these, but it's not like this at all. Epstein-Barr depression is often alleviated by drinking water or eating, it's really odd. I'm getting through it just fine, friends on this site and other things have made it quite easy.

Yeah, it's hardly understood, which is a shame. Thus one of the reasons several people and I decided to start the foundation. This disease has ruined lives like you wouldn't believe.

Hmm just wondering Stan.. Is this the reason that you collect stuff so much? Are you hoping that by accumulating material positions it will somehow fill the void in your life? - my girlfriend asked me to say that. shes a psycologist.

Hahhaaha, no I just get interested in something and then go nuts, research the hell out of it until I know almost everything, and reach an equilibrium. I do lots of stuff. My void was filled when I started gung fu several years ago. And, everyone here now seems to think I'm depressed, I'm not anymore, just physical ill a lot. Lots of people can't really understand that a virus can cause this, I'm not saying anyone here does, but few people really know about it. The depression is gone. The only mental crap I deal with right now is confusion, difficulty concentrating, and "brain fog" every once in awhile. This virus sucks, but shaolin will prevail!!!!!
