@ Roth - Yeah I got the NWC and Sudoku last summer, I played the NWC religiously for about a month but I've hardly played it since. I seem to recognise your username and avatar from somewhere like nintendoage? I've been concentrating on NES for the last 6 months, just 3 licensed games (+ 4 unlicensed) to go now then it'll be SMS and N64 full steam ahead. Yeah, NintendoAge and just about any other NES site out there, including my own PlayTheNES.com haha Sounds like you have one heck of a collection there! Congrats on finding them all!

Hey man, welcome to the forums. Looks like you've already got a handsome SMS collection! There's no excuse for that piddly Saturn collection though - no collection is complete without NiGHTS, Astal, the Panzer Dragoons and some NetLink Bomberman.

They'll all get there turn, I just thought I'd start at the main 8bit systems and work forward in a fashion. I can see the Saturn being one of the last I collect for though, never had one when they were in production and its not something I play on too much, but it'll be given a chance sooner or later.

You had inspired me to get my virtual boy out of hiding for another chance at winning my affection. But the six batteries it requires had been emptied by leaving them in the controller. I wanted to use a power supply on it, a snes one works apparently, but then discovered something I had forgotten - you have to buy a seperate "tap" thing just to plug in a mains adaptor, stupid nintendo!
The sms 3D glasses are so much better through simplicity, their comfortable to wear, for me anyway, and its got some great games. The virtual boy may have more processing power but its advantage is lost through its blood red only display and the fact you have to construct a platform for it to stand on so you don't wreck your neck leaning into the thing. And now I can't even play it at all through lack of batteries, back into its box it goes!

If you have a spare VB controller, you can mod it with a SMS/Megadrive power supply instead of buying a tap or spending a fortune on batteries. Theres a guide over at planet-vb for it. The VB uses the same power supply as the US SNES, which is different to the UK version, I think its something like 10V DC 850mA whereas the UK SNES runs on AC like the NES. I agree though, the VB is flawed to the limit but its just so unusual.

Now thats an idea, the virtual boy does use 10v 0.85 amp, which is the same as megadrive. I've only got one virtual boy controller, so I'll want to do a neat job of it. If I can find the same type of socket the megadrive console has on it, stick that in the vb controller so I can plug in the power supply whenever I like, that would be perfcet
