31 year old swedish treasure hunter here.
Amusingly enough, my 1st console was an x-box. I never did have any systems as a kid though i played pretty much all of them at my friends house.
Im mainy collecting Sega titles, but also have all Nintendo machines, but just a few games for them, no more than 100. I dont own and dont plan on buying any of the new next gen machines. Mainly since im not playing games much nowadays. I mainly collect for fun and try to make a small profit from reselling items on local auction sies. Worked fine so far.
For the Mega Drive I collect any game that is not a sport game, but only when the price is right. Prolly have 300+ so far.
For the Sega Saturn, I mainly collect japanese shooters and fightin games.
For the Dreamcast I mainly collect japanese Fighters and a few quality titles.
For the SMS im aiming to complete all EU/AUS and US titles. Ive set up a few rule sfor my collection.
*All games must be complete and in excellent condition. All boxes must have hangers.
*All extras must be included, like posters, maps, and books.
*I dont need the standard insert commercials.
*I dont need to collect all cover variation if there are multiple ones.
*Covers should be in English if available.
*Manuals should be the horiziontal EU type if available. Otherwise US styled.
*I also aim to collect games released under diffrent names in the US.
*I try to stay clear of AUS releases if possible (not a single one so far)
*I dont need to collect special packs and gift sets.
A lot of rules ^^
