Hi everyone joined a little while ago and thought I’d give a little intro. My name is Brian and I’m from Toronto, Canada and I’m 29 years old. I’m glad to have found an active site about the SMS. I was first introduced to the Master System when I got one for Christmas either 86’ or 87’. It was the first system I got and was instantly hooked…..a lot of my friends had the NES but I found the thing was not has sleek and smooth as my SMS …never had to blow into any of my cartridges to get them to work.
Anyway the first game I remember purchasing was Wonder boy because I loved the arcade version and the conversion to the SMS was great I played it for hours. The next game I remember buying was the infamous Alex Kidd in Miracle World…..I have too agree with your rankings as probably the best game for the console…..I built up a collection of about 20 or 30 games as a youngster and enjoyed them immensely.
Eventually I ended up selling them at a garage sale when I was about 14 for $25 bucks I think… what a mistake. With the emulation scene growing while I was at university I once again found that I was playing SMS ROMs on my Pc and that is when I decided I wanted a SMS again, so my collecting began.
Although I am not as obsessed as some of you guys, I am satisfied with my collection. I have 120 complete games including all on NTSC list, yes I have a mint Buster Douglas. I also have boxed complete: system, phaser, sports pad, 3-d glasses, control stick, rapid fire and control pads. I have some pics if you guys could let me know how to share with you that would be great. Thanks.
