Hi all, Been into Sega since the sms came out and have had all the consoles since then really. I'm got around 80 sms games but still missing the usual suspects (Smurfs etc) as I am unwilling to pay the shops price for it but I heard it was on ebay the other week and went for peanuts Oh well, next time ! RONNIE ;D

Welcome aboard! still missing the usual suspects (Smurfs etc) as I am unwilling to pay the shops price for it but I heard it was on ebay the other week and went for peanuts Oh well, next time ! The first Smurfs game pops up fairly regularly, and usually makes something in the £8-£12 region. The really rare one is the sequel, Smurfs Travel the World, of which something like 30-40 copies are known to be circulating. Last two on ebay went for €152 and about $240, if I remember correctly.

Welcome to the site, the first smurfs game is a lot easier to find in France, so checking www.ebay.fr is a good idea. Anagrama - are there really that many copies of smurfs2 around? perhaps my chances of getting this game are better than i thought

We traced about 15-20 definites in the older thread here, and the 30-40 copies is a high-end estimate - it's based on a) the 25 or so that Manu/Mikko confirmed finding in an old SMS Power thread b) the 3 that the guy I got mine from found and c) unconfirmed reports of a Dutch seller who had somewhere between 3 and 12 copies.
And that's assuming that every copy that escaped Infogrames was snapped up by collectros who are active on forums. The "true" number is almost certainly higher, but how much higher is purely speculation.

Anyway, 30-40 copies of such game is really a low print, a real spiderpig to find, and gets harder to get one copy from this side of the planet (Puerto Rico)

Hello, I'm new in the forum and I'm from Spain, so please, excuse my English I'm 21 years old, and my first console was the master system 2, I passed hours and hours with the Alex Kidd!! Now I'm collecting all the master system games, but I know that it's too difficult to get some games, like Smurfs 2, 4 in 1 pack, Buster Douglas,...... I love the retro games (I have GameGear, Master system 1, 2 & 3, Megadrive 1 & 2, Nintendo nes, gameboy, super nes, Sega Saturn, Playstation, Nintendo 64, .....) but I only collect everything of master system; of the other consoles, I other collect some good games like Light crusader, probotector, dynamite headdy,.... in Megadrive; sega rally, virtua fighters 2,.... in sega saturn........ Regards for everybody, and please excuse my English! PD: is there anyone from Spain in the forum??

hi folks,
after many months of snooping around this site it's time to introduce myself. my name is marc and i'm 32. after a stint of 6 years abroad (3 years in holland and 3 in london) i've finally retuned home to south africa.
during my time in london i started collecting sms games and managed to get around 60 or so off ebay UK. of course i've now screwed myself by going back to south africa, as P&P will be somewhat steeper than local UK postage! but with time, i hope to continue my collection.
cheers all.
