Hi there, my name is Dave
Mostly a Spectrum guy but always had a soft spot for the Master System. I used to work in my uncle's computer shop where he had a display SMS set up with Hang On on constant loop, used to absolutely LOVE playing this.
By the time I got round to saving up to buy one, the Mega Drive was coming out so I ended up importing one of them instead.
A few years back one of my wife's friends was emigrating & they were getting rid of all their old stuff, so they gave us their SMS2 with a whole load of games. So I bought a rake of cheap games on eBay & one of those Master Everdrives & have been loving going through the back catalogue of games I missed out on, it's a brilliant wee machine.
Then over lockdown I started making Spectrum games with my son & it's been SO much fun, it did mean that I neglected my poor Master System a bit though.
I set up a Twitter handle of Sloanysoft to make folk aware of the games & there is such an awesome community of retro gaming folk out there it's been great.

Huge fan of Homebrew & the Master System looks to have a brilliant scene. Bruce Lee is an absolutely stunning price of work, so I'm hoping to have a deeper dive into what other gems have been made on the SMS in recent years.
I've seen the weekly Master System Challenge going about & I've been meaning to join in for ages but I've only got into it in the last few weeks & that's what's brought me here.
We've recently started doing Twitch streams & are still getting to grips with the whole thing, but it's been great fun.
Its been a blast using Twitch for of my attempts at the challenge (alongside our Speccy streams). Would love to do them on the real hardware, but we just don't have all the cameras & leads & know how to do it so we're just emulating for the time being.
