Evening all,
Just wanted to say a hearty 8-bit hello to everyone here. I've been reading the game reviews on this site for years, so thought it'd be the decent thing to finally sign up...
I've recently launched a YouTube channel in which I review Sega Master System games (what else!). I feel the Master System sadly gets overlooked on certain popular online streaming platforms, or at least in the channels I like to watch (American ones, mostly), and it'd be nice to give the console and its games the kudos they deserve. Only 6 games reviewed so far, but I have so many ideas for things I want to do in future.
Likely like many on here, the SMS was my first console, getting it as I did on Christmas Day at the age of 6, and it's a love affair that has stayed with me right into my adult years (if you call 33 being an adult). Games such as Castle of Illusion, Shinobi, R-Type, Golvellius and, yes, Alex The Kidd were played so often by my prodigious younger, more optimistic self that the level layouts, enemy patterns and stage BGMs are still ingrained into my brain even now.
Below is my latest video review. I'm open to suggestions, ideas, feedback etc on any and all aspects. It's a channel where I'm very much learning as I go in what will hopefully be an enjoyable, rewarding and creative journey.

Definitely earned a subscriber from me. There’s always been a gaping hole for MS good quality content I had previously contemplated making a channel many years ago but lacked any form of editing skills or recording equipment. This review was very funny, well made and entertaining. I was fed up of just boring retro waffle videos of people literally in 1 take going on about a long drawn out subject in a monotone fashion for nearly an hour or americans recycling the same shitty opinions and content. Fair play I’ll be checking out your other vids. And welcome to the forum 👍🏻

Great video! There has always been a serious lack of SMS content on YouTube, so I'm really looking forward to your future episodes. Keep up the good work.

Just watched /Liked and Subscribed. Really good videos and I did LOL at the creative use of the food recycling bucket in the Ghostbusters video. Looking forward to the next video for sure.
How often do you plan on releasing videos ? What game is next?
I agree with Ian and there is a complete lack of SMS videos, yeh there is the usual candidates who have done generic videos (MJR, John Hancock, Top Hat Gaming Man etc) but actual individual game videos is definitely lacking.
Many thanks for the entertainment!

Thanks all I was hoping to get at least 1 video a month done, but the last 2 have proven very time consuming. As such, the next vids are going to be shorter, punchier affairs. So far, Ghost House, Teddy Boy and Rainbow Islands are in the running, as well as some top 10 lists with less high jinx and more opinion.
