Hi everyone, figured the first post should be here I'm Dave, just on edge of The New Forest in Hampshire, UK. I got my first master system in early 90's, all my friends were getting Megadrive's, but as the youngest of 3, I knew my folks were never going to buy me one for Christmas. I got the SMS, along with Running Battle, and I loved it. I always felt the need to big up every game release, and bought any mag going that had game reviews in them. Although my original system no longer works, I have been picking up a few titles in last year, I'm a toy collector of 20+ years and finding myself thinking how cool it would be - and stupid - to try and build a library of SMS games. I had no idea of fans and enthusiasts creating custom games, to me that is awesome and would love to find out more, as sure this board will help

Thank you, really looking forward to learning and collecting, my favourite games, which still have were Speedball 2, Xenon 2 and Secret Command, I'd always be hanging round in Dixons looking at the budget titles, Transbot, World Grand Prix etc, as WHSmith was always really expensive for release titles (did it bug anyone else that the games cost the same as MegaDrive titles back then, or was that just me?)

Welcome! I think most of us have similar memories to yours (I know I do) I'd recommend looking through some old posts on the forum as a goldmine of information awaits you. If you like homebrew / game conversions you might like to check out smspower.org.

Hi there, how are you doing?
I too am a dave and believe me if you are interested in the sms you will end up with a sizable collection as there's a lot of affordable games.
Ps there is plenty of folk on here who have large or complete collections too.

Hi Dave, I'm Andy and as an exception to the rule I didn't have a master system growing up, making up for it now as I have 4.
I mainly collect the card games as I like the quirkiness of the technology. If you go to any of the game markets up north chances are I will be there and always have an eye for a bargain even though I don't collect much anymore. So if you want someone to help finding the one bargain in a box of games, I'm the guy to find.
